So he joins on loan to Jan 6th it says on their website also he is eligible to return to Houston as he’s contracted to June 26. So it could be another decision to be made in January looking at our position and how he has played by then.

Well, McCann said in his interview the MLS hadn't worked out for him hence his desire to return to UK. Likely to loan is to become a potential permanent but it gives us the opportunity to review in January when there maybe some further haggling over a fee if we want to keep him.

Houston paid a six figure fee for him so if he does ‘tear trees up’ while he’s with us, it might mean Terry having to get his cheque book out….again.

At 27 years old, he’s hitting his ‘peak period’.

Let’s hope Grant has discovered ‘another one’ who can push us on to a shot at promotion.

I’ve just watched the YouTube highlights of him, I wasn’t excited at all by his signing, that said after that I am now ! If Grant can replicate that form out of him he’s going to be one hell of a player for us!

It's certainly an intriguing one. 27 years old and only really played for St Mirren of any note.
McCann must see something !!
how many had Street scored b4 he came?

He looks electric fast & a real handful, albeit against some awful defending.
I wonder if he'll get minutes on Tuesday?

My god. You’re not wrong about the defending.
Was this footage from SPL? Thats not even League 2 standard. It was hard to concentrate on the lad whilst watching that defending.

Most of us will know that strikers can always look good from their You Tube highlights - including those who actually turn out to be good in the real world of regular match-play! And for someone of his age there is bound to be history that might place doubt on the level at which he has performed successfully.

However we can't afford a real proven striker at this level and I look to Ironside, TLT, Adelukan and Street as examples of McCann getting it right and hope that he's made a good choice here. In taking a loanee who turns out to be good you increase his value, but against that is it the case that his Houston contract is only a short one?

We're not, he was in Scotland until earlier this year and clearly wanted to be back in the UK.

I think certain people will have been away of this player, possibly from the time he was signed by Middlesbrough, but definitely during his time at St Mirren.
It seems clear that our management team monitor players in the Scottish leagues and guess we also have scouting up there.

I stated on the striker thread, that the fans at St Mirren absolutely loved this guy and they didn’t really want him to leave when he joined the mls.
They reckon the teams performances improved when he joined them and they made specific points around his work rate, stating he always work hard and gave his all.

He scored against Rangers in the SPL. Think Grant supports them.

We have a few fans who are based in the USA so maybe someone recommended him.

Suspect he was on the radar before he moved Stateside. Interesting one - unimpressive on paper but if Grant thinks he can improve him and get him working in this team then it could be another Street/Adelakun situation.

Here you go pal have a look at the post for the role of head performance analyst at DRFC

A significant part of the role will involve managing web based accounts and software suites, such as Hudl, Wyscout, and Chyron Hego to ensure that the players and management team have all appropriate recruitment and oppositional based information available to them as soon as needed.

I’m not your pal (to my knowledge).

Any African player we ought to be ‘looking at’ according to Hudi, Hoody, Wyscout, Boyscout, Hego, Lego?

Just asking cos I’d hate to be ‘left behind’.

Thanks for sharing.

Wouldn't be suprised to see this lad play on the left at some point as he's fast, right-footed and has played there before.

Could be an option with because of his limited experience of leading the line on his own and we've missed that kind of wide striker in-behind movement on the left since Adelakun left. Let's see.
