Good luck and hope it goes well for him. But more importantly I hope he doesn’t get an injury!

Also Grehan starts for Ireland 21s v Andorra. It's just kicked off and is on TV over here. RTE 2 so those of you with dodgy sticks or vpns might get it. It might also be on the rte player on their website but might be blocked outside Ireland. I don't know

Crew gets a booking

Ref showing yellows like confetti. Charlie barely touched him. Foul yes, yellow no.

Think he's done OK in a disciplined DM role.

Anyone else along with me thinking at present he's gonna struggle to break into the starting line up, and there is no slight on his ability, more the form of the current midfield boys.. bails and George are nailed on, and Grant really likes Clifton..

Cannot see him starting in front of bails or george either.

I think he has struggled for wales tonight. Looks a yard off the pace. Had a couple of nice little touches but only a couple.

Needs to demand the ball more because it has passed him by.

Has the potential to be a really good player but looks like he needs to start being more vocal.

Grants recruited Charlie for the long term - the lads nowt to prove at this stage of our season, his ability at this level is outrageous - best player in a Rovers shirt I've seen since young Snods.
Hopefully he'll have the same impact in the latter stages of this season as he did on our march to being L2 Champions

Harrogate get a 1-0 win and, more importantly, a clean sheet. Not many Mansfield first teamers?

I think he has struggled for wales tonight.
Needs to demand the ball more because it has passed him by.

I disagree with this; I thought he was very solid tonight and did exactly what that role demands of a player for Wales – sitting deep, offering an outlet for the short ball, but also pulling players out the way to allow for the defence to move the ball quickly through the middle to the forward line. And he did all of the above very well.

It's important to judge him against the way he'll have been asked to play, rather than what you think he should be doing. Especially on his second full international cap. Plus, Craig Bellamy said he thought he was excellent, and that'll do for me.

Only criticism, and it is minor, is that if anything he was a little gung-ho at times, committing to soon to tackles on three occasions, his booking being one of them.

I’m sharing those same thoughts Adam.

Matty Craig? Was a fantastic addition the season before last in January and had a bigger impact imo. Very technical crew good on the ball but needs to add that physical side to his game. Most games I’ve seen him he is gassed at 60 minutes. Don’t get me wrong a very good player in a few years but still very wet behind the ears

Speaking as one of the older fraternity of supporters I can say that I have seen a lot of young players in a DRFC shirt at the beginning of their careers and thought this lad has got something extra and will ascend the ranks. My picks have never been wrong, yet. Rufus Brevit, Brian Deane, Tony Woodcock spring to mind. I believe Charlie Crew will be another.

Crew will have a role to play for us through the season I'm sure, and he has bags of potential. But given the form of Broadbent, the permanent class of Bailey and range of options for the no8/10 role I can't see his role being huge, add to that Ben Close has played his way back in to the squad, Crew's not quite as important to us as I thought he might have been when we signed him.

He'll go on to have an amazing career, as Jacob Ramsey has, but I think his impact here and this season will be bit-part if I'm honest.

He has to earn his place like anyone else.  God forbid we get a couple of bad injuries too.

Alick Jeffrey played quite some time before Ian Snodin. Kitch & Elwiss too, although a bit closer.

And didn't we have Harvey's brother, "Herbie"?
