Any experience of getting to the ground from Wood Green, Londoner? Just wondering whether it's quicker to take the shuttle bus or walk? What's traffic like that way before/after the game?

Its a W3 bus or a Spurs shuttle which needs to be pre-booked. Getting there will be ok, I havent used it but I reckon it will be mobbed post match. From what I have been told i believe the shuttle is quite efficient.

I think it is a 45 minute walk. Not sure i would do that at night to be honest.

Back in the 70s I often did the bus from WG to Spurs and back and it was fine but that was a very long time ago. https://tottenhamhotspur.firsttravelsolutions.com/
Londoner what is it like after a night match getting back to Kings X? If it goes to pens (which I doubt it will) it would be nearly 10.30pm and last train back to Donny is 11.33pm. Would we make it back to Kings X by then or would we need to leave earlier.
TiA.

BR, even with quite a bit of injury time, the match should finish by 9.40 pm. If it goes to penalties, then no matter how many pens are taken, it should be all over by 10.00 pm, or not much after.

You'll be OK for that last train.

Its 0.75 a mile to the ground. Antwerp Arms is 0.4 miles and closer to the North Stand.
Elmhurst just been refurbished. Always used to allow away fans but dont know now.

Just seen a section of the A1 will be closed on the way back near Peterborough after 9pm large enough chunk to mean M1 is faster back

For those that haven't seen them , there are lots of restrictions on what can and cannot be taken in at THFC Stadium

Check them out here in Facilities then look at Bag Policy and Prohibited items as this may save "losing" stuff at the Ground

No mention of a ‘an old cock linnet’ I noticed.

And don’t forget, if you ‘dilly & dally’ on the way back to the coaches, don’t ask a ‘special cos you can’t trust a special like the old time coppers’ when you can’t find your way ‘ome.

One there for hound, scawsby steve & BB!

@londoner , we are starting our trip from adnos Grove,  so not far, do we do to rhr nearby overground and risk there not being enough trains for the volume of people, or do the long walk to the tube? TIA

Tricky one.

Personally I would go Arnos Grove (Picadilly tune line) to Finsbury Park and then one stop on the Victoria line to Seven Sisters and then walk (30mins), catch a bus (usually end in a 9) or get the overground 2 stops to White Hart Lane.

You can go Arnos Grove to Wood Green and then get the W3 bus to White Hart Lane.

The Arnos Grove to Wood Greend and W3 bus to the ground is the quickest route assuming you can get on the bus.

Otherwise, get to Wood Green and book the Spurs shuttle to and from the ground.

I'm going down by train from Scotland - it doesn't stop at Donny!!

Going from Kings Cross to Seven Sisters on Victoria Line, then either bus or train to White Hart Lane. Depends on train times.

Google Maps and TFL app are your friends.

Yes I contacted spurs about the shuttle and they told me it wood be a good option to get to Wood Green and use the shuttle.

Another option for those driving wood be to park at the Wood Green mall, east and west car parks are large and very cheap. Malls close early but easy access from street, car parks close at 12.
Again shuttle can be booked from Wood Green station.

I've heard tell the Turkish restaurants on Green Lanes might be some of the best in Europe. People tell me they are better than Istanbul. If you fancy a very good kebab head that way, look out for one with a traditional wood fired oven. These places are often family run and they take a great pride in their food.

I always eat at La Barca. 685 High Road, London N17 8AD

On non-match days it's like being on the set of an Abanian Sopranos.

No team segregation. Gets busy so get their early as service can be a bit slow at times. I've been eating there for the best part of 20 years and never had any stomach issues etc.

Sells beer and cider on draught as well.

The novelty for me will be the Ground itself. Ill take my own Food , eat it last minute on Coach as I cant take it in of course and get inside to see the best Ground in this Country I have been in

Current leader is not too far from THS a team that play in Red and White which was good but will be eclipsed on Weds

Im almost tempted to say the Virtual Ground app is Number 1 now.

After the food the Beer , and the fill from the bottom Glasses .personally I cant wait

Ill have a quid on 7 2 just in case  :scarf:

I used to live in Enfield so will park on Baker Street (free) and walk to Enfield town then into Seven Sisters

Is there free parking around that area, in case I can’t park on Baker Street?

I might go Enfield to Seven Sisters then walk up via McDonalds
