TSL and Rob Street.

Just imagine us in this league with those two.

Lo Tutala is a better shot stopper than Sharman-Lowe.

Let’s not make this a vs. TLT is the man we have and we should be happy to have him, he will bounce back.
Street is a miss, but again we need to give who we have time to settle in.

Add Jamie Sterry to that list.

Is he still not ready? Seemed to be suggestion it was tactical decision on Saturday.

Heard a slight calf strain on the grapevine

Appreciate you guys have seen more than me this season, but does Timmy seem to be playing more ‘elaborate’ than when he was with us previously? Almost as if he’s showboating a little at times?

He’s still one of the best shot stoppers that I’ve ever seen for Rovers though.

I have heard a few people say this. I just don't get the thought process in regard to the showboating.

He really shouldn’t be climbing when he’s still recovering from injury.

Here we go, as soon as we suffer a loss our players aren't good enough we need better players.

I recall TSL getting slaughtered when Chesterfield hammered us 5-2, players make mistakes, they are league one players who just got beat by the better team on the day. Get a grip and lets look forward to getting back on track this weekend.

I don’t think any players are being explicitly criticised Fal. Steve made a comment about missing TSL (which I disagree with) and Street (which I do agree with).

Right now I don’t think any of our strikers, bar Billy Sharp perhaps, are playing better than Street did for us.

If you look at the Save Percentage table TLT is 5th... TSL is way down in joint 23rd...

Bolton fans are very underwhelmed, they say his distribution is good but he's cost them points.

TSL not at fault for the above mentioned goal. He could have maybe done better, but the defender losing his runner into the box is more at fault for me.

Yes, we so miss Haks and Craig. Sounds familiar. Lamenting players gone who are uikely to return.

We have to adapt and make the best of what we have, and if we still have gaps, then fill them with players who will come or, be patient and see how some of the newer players develop over time instead of writing them off too soon.

In response to Gaz & Herbert...

I could be responsible for the showboating phrase regards to TLT. On more than one occasion this season IMO he has dived for balls he barely had to stretch for - one for the cameras was the old phrase.
Hes an excitable guy and loves being in the thick of it. He is also a great keeper and im glad we have him, but has some things to work on.

He is exuberant. When doing anything he makes his mind up very early, I think thats why he can go from the sublime to the ridiculous at times.

Exuberant is a good description. He's been without competitive games since he left us after his first spell, so no wonder he's excited to be back playing and in a good environmen where he feels wanted. In his first spell he seemed calmer and in control more often than not. A feature was his communication with the back four and helped us reduce the goals conceded column.

Perhaps he just needs to tone it down a bit as it can have the reverse effect he had previously. I'm sure Grant and the GK coaches will be analysing his performances whilst not undermining his confidence.

Disappointingly, this thread turns out not to be about special interest publications towards the larger end of the market.

TLT is better than TSL.

TLT is playing like DLT at the moment (one for the old boys)

Make a mistake as a defender & likely as not you’re looking for the keeper to ‘get you out of jail’.

Make a ‘mistake’ as a keeper & more often than not it results in a goal for the opposition.

Lose 4-2 & 3 ‘great saves’ will get you nothing.

Place 2 goal kicks straight over the touch line & your distribution comes under criticism.

It’s a position where you’re either a ‘god’ or a clown.

In TLT we have the best keeper we have had since Seny Dieng imo.

Street was massive for us last season but our squad is now far superior and I’m more than happy with what we have, I never expected us to have such a fruitful summer.
We’re playing against big athletes this year, who can play a bit and are on big money. You’re always going to get games like Saturday, where you have a bit of bad luck and get cut open. I was talking to a Bolton fan earlier, he was saying it’s always tough playing Wigan and Bolton are usually one of the bigger boys in the playground.

We’ll get a few beatings like that this season, most clubs will, Bradford got one last week! It’s about how we respond.

Explains why he dived for Crewe's penalties about five years early then.

Did the same at Huddersfield. I love TLT and he'll come good again but I hope Letheren is working with him on his penalties.
