Leyton Orient
« on September 16, 2025, 11:49:23 pm by scawsby steve »
I wanted to go there 3 seasons ago. I had my tube route planned out and everything, then the bloody trains went on strike. I now want to take my daughter and youngest grandson there, 3 weeks on Saturday.

However, there are 2 potential problems niggling away at me. There have been tube strikes this month, and I just hope there won't be any next month. Also, it's another international weekend, and I'm dreading us having a 3rd player called up, or Orient having 3 called up.

What's everyone think? Should I get my train tickets?

We've got trains booked and will just have a day in London if it gets called.

Need to give minimum of two weeks of notice of strike action, so you will know soon enough. And whole point of strike action is to inconvenience people. That’s why they happen primarily on weekdays. There must be a microscopic chance of there being a tube strike on the day of the Orient game.

I would drive, park at the big shopping centre at Stratford, then take the central line tube..

My driving days were over a long time ago, mate, but thanks anyway. However, if the game's postponed for those bloody internationals, there'll be nobody driving there.

Those of you that have booked tickets, what time train from Donny; about 11.30?

Train back about 6.30?

We’re on the 0856 going. Coming back on the 1950                                                   They were the cheapest ones left last week £57 return, not bad
