Looks like the River Don at Bentley.

Around Stranraer or the Irish coast somewhere. More likely, though certainly not definitely west coast of Ireland?

The picture was actually taken by my neighbour so that is close to the view I have in Bangor, County Down, looking westwards down the Belfast Lough towards Belfast.

And yes, we have palm trees in Bangor 

This part of County Down is sometimes referred to as the Gold Coast. I didn’t realise they were talking about the colour of September sunsets
