Let's talk about our Tottenham experience
« on September 23, 2025, 01:23:24 pm by DonnyBazR0ver »
Worthy of a thread on it's own I think, separate from the match. A chance to record your experiences of the day from start to finish. The travel, the prematch and post match experiences.

Post your thoughts, feelings, photos and vids for one of our most rich footballing experiences.

Big shout out for the Supporters Club for the efficient organisation of the coach travel and good luck to everyone however you choose to get there.

Looking forward to seeing all those coaches lined up at the Eco already.

What a beautiful day for it. Has anyone started their journey to White Hart Lane yet?

Hope the cookies don't prevent us recording this great day out.

I’m hoping to be able to follow this thread today but I’ve been plagued by the cookies bug on and off so far today.

On my way to Islington for a game of darts and couple of drinks with my Spurs supporting mate then will meet the rest of our group and aim to get into the ground for 7ish. Heard the pubs around the ground aren't great.

Lefl home at 1pm. On the train from Edinburgh now approaching KX in 20 minutes. Found it strange to wizz past the Keepmoat at 120mph to go to a Donny game.

And then past the Peterborough stadium with all their flags flying. Have they won something? Err no!

Will post further updates.

My son is joining me in the Premier Seats around half way. For us it’s once in a lifetime - again. Took him to Wembley, Cardiff and Brentford. What a lucky pup! Mind you he’s earning and bought his own seat this time. Wonder what will happen when we get to the bar?

After KX Seven Sisters next stop.

Whoever recommended Walsingham Road in Enfield, thank you. Parked for free. Overland train to white hart lane. Tapped in for me and took my boys through the family gate for free
Just sat in McDonalds down towards seven sisters but will be walking back up shortly
The stadium looks ace. Spoken to a few friendly spurs fans already

My experience was in February 1956 the first game I was allowed to attend with friends and no adults, catching the bus at Askern and walking through town up to Belle View.
The walkways were packed with over 34,000 in attendance as were the special trackies and buses laid on for the match.
After getting our bag of humbugs outside the ground sold from an old suitcase we went in and booked our places on the wall on the main stand side, the who;e place was packed.
we knew the players like Smith, Norman, Blanchflower, Brooks, harmer, and Robb from cigarette cards and cards in bubble gum wrappers collected and swopped at school.
We lost 2-0 with goals from Smith and Brooks but the memories are still there all the friends I was with sadly passed away, but the happy yimes are still in my memory.
So have agreat day take in the occasion and hopefully we can do well if not win.
Moments like this don't come along often take it all in and enjoy.

Beehive is open to us and loads of Rovers in there. No issue getting in. Decent beer prices.

Made it safely.

Parked up at Theobalds Grove, short train to White Hart Lane and now enjoying a beer in Antwerp Arms

Why do we always gift Spurs an own goal? Very proud of the lads tonight, we were certainly not disgraced. Good to see Richarlison grabbing a souvenir shirt at the end!  :rtid:

Well done lads, glad you all had a good time.
I wanted to comment at half time but couldn’t get past the bloody cookie bug.

42.5k attendance for those interested.

Newcastle away next. Draw could have been kinder.

Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season.

I thought it was a great night- stadium was awesome, some of the play from Spurs was sublime but we played some decent stuff ourselves at times.

We are on the coach currently driving on a small road with hedges either side of the road.

What a fantastic day out, amazing stadium friendly staff and everything just flowed. Thought we were totally outclassed in the first half but gave it a good go in the second and didn’t disgrace ourselves. Gutted with the third goal for some reason.
Spurs are quality and their manager took the game seriously.
Only downside to the day was the trip home who in their right mind closes the A1,M1 and M25 at the same time

Had a great evening out . Drove down to north London to stay at my youngest sons overnight . Walked to Newington Green and had some wonderful Lamacun and a few beers. Jumped on a lime bike to Tottenham and met up with dad and brother and a very healthy rovers crowd at the Antwerp arms. The ground . Well it’s pretty awesome on first sight but more on that later. The game, well I think GM summed it up well. The spurs fans we spoke to afterwards agreed the scoreline flattered them . With a quality striker up Front it may have been different but there you go. Molyneux not getting a shot on target cost me a nice big payout which wasn’t to be also. Second half I thought rovers equalled them across the pitch except for the sloppy late defending .
On the ground , walking away from it I got the feeling that while it is huge and expensive and impressive , I just thought it was “too much” . I didn’t think the place had any soul. More like an oversized amusement arcade than sports arena. Dare I say too “Americanised”
Anyway, the winners on the night were the club and the players and the fans. Well supported, well
Played esp second half and the club get rewarded with what should be a tidy pay day .

You were probably on the Hedgewhere Road.
