If things don't change and he becomes a part of the first team and playing first team games, he wants returning to Leeds at the next transfer window, at the moment he is a waste of resources along with one or two others in the same position, while we side line more deserving players of our own playing well at other clubs.

The thing with rumours about anything in any walk of life not all of them are true, people hear some of the cuff comment and take it as gospel. Remember the one from years ago about Colin Douglas turning up for the team coach to Notts County in EFL trophy , when wasn’t playing due to injury or suspension and he’d had a few pints and then having a row with Dave Cusack, so called brawling on the bus. Was that true ? If you actually see it or hear it firsthand, but to be hear from someone else it becomes like that kid’s party game Chinese whispers.

Any substance?

Of course there isn't... it's all part of the process of scapegoating a player.

Starts with exaggerations of how bad he's playing... moves on to questioning his attitude... next step is unsubstantiated rumour.

Charlie Crew is a really good 19 year old footballer, who's struggled this season to replicate the really impressive form he delivered for us last season. He's been average in six of the seven games he's featured in for Rovers, and had a bit of a mare when he came on for 15 minutes against Spurs. In among those he gave a really good account of himself when starting for the Wales senior side.

I've been disappointed by his performances this season, but I think he'll come good in the long run... But even if he doesn't work out for us, spreading unsubstantiated rumours about his attitude and motivations are no use to anyone; it just gets more people on his back and what benefit is that to player or team?

And of course Sharp had signed for another club when it turned out something much worse had happened at home.

I see his talent and have formed already an opinion from interviews of his attitude .He is probably the  biggest challenge GM and staff have to steer the attitude .
At Wrexham he would get the adoration of circus goers but would he  get the holistic grounding  he will have to go through here if he is to progress .Captaining Welsh U 21 also plays to the circus not to the real needs of the individual . .

Perhaps the decision-makers felt the captaincy could possibly be a way to help him focus on his job, if indeed he has an attitude problem at all.

You don’t captain your country if you have a bad attitude. In fact, you don’t get to play for a Premier league team if you have a bad attitude.

Do people know how hard it is to make it as a footballer? You don’t get there by switching between trying and not whenever you feel like it.

He has a real chance of making a world cup squad with wales next summer.

He isnt stupid enough to throw that chance away by not putting effort in this season

I'm sorry to bring this up again, but I do find it amusing/incredible when you give us this kind of insight, after previously stating League 2 footballers should be embarrassed to call themselves professionals.

He’s the Alan Partridge of the forum.

You would ‘acknowledge’ that statement if it came from a professional footballer.

If you continue to spout enough ‘self indulgent wisdom’ it will inevitably leave you with a ‘sackful’ of contradictions & very little credibility.

On BBC I player

Charlie is playing in the deep role of a midfield three.
He is playing no different to way he has played for us this season. In fact he plays without any pace in his game strolling.
So people who say he doesn’t look bothered for us he is playing the same in this game.
He is the Captain but he’s not imposing himself on the game.
Wales losing 2 0although they have had some chances.

At the moment, Gaz, you can hardly say he’s ’getting there’ with us,  so far this season!

You can’t blame Charlie for being 3.  0 down Wales  are not a good side. Belgium have far superior players none of the Welsh side are showing anything. They are now down to 10 men and Belgium have scored a 4th

5. Now its men against boys far superior

The commentators are saying as of this moment they have conceded 11 goals so in the last two games. They have 6 players in the senior squad who could play for U21s with more experience

If you don't learn something after captaining your national team to a 7-0 annihilation at home, then there is something wrong.

Wouldn’t call it a wake up call they lost the last game 6 0 and Charlie wasn’t in the squad. This one down to 10 men. The players in the squad are not playing at the highest level domestically in men’s football. The point I was trying to make before, is Charlie plays the same way for the U21 as he has been for us. Therefore it’s the way he plays not that he’s not bothered. It’s up to Grant and staff to try and get him to play quicker instead of the slower style he is showing

A lot of people have this theory about Gibson because of how he looks when he runs. Purely an opinion based on that. Yet if all our wingers I'd probably hazard a guess he wins the ball back more than the rest. Just because the arms and legs and Phil Jones fave expressions out there he's deemed lazy.
