Reading seem to be a bit of a bogey team! However I do remember the classic 7-5 back in the early 80's.

And Les Chappell of all people scoring the only goal of the game, for us, at Elm Park, sometime in the mid '70's.Never forget that. I was there BobGI was there that day too Bob, ruined Reading's perfect home record. Another Reading game a couple of years before that was during the 3 day week. We finally got there at half time to find that we were 4-0 down with the announcer saying that Les Chappell had scored a hat trick. Another hat trick at Elm Park came a few years later from Alan Brown when we beat them 4-1 but victories against Reading are like hen's teeth. They must be our worst opponent historically?

Would be amazed if we scored next week, let alone avoided defeat. They are unbeaten at home since 16 August and are on a 6 game run at home of 4 wins and 2 draws.
