Bizarre decision. Off the back of a draw & a win. And Ritchie & Marriott missing who are two key players for them.

How many times has the "not being able to beat the likes of Donny" attitude led to a manager getting sacked, over the years?

Quite a few, I suspect!

We’ve had a few get sacked after playing us over the years, my favourite one was the Forest manager on Boxing Day a few years back

Managers with clubs in or around the relegation zone must hate playing us. We are the kiss of death to many managers.

Danny Schofield named as assistant.

Can't be the same man surely?

I hope so. He was the wrong man at the wrong time here, with a non-league quality team and appointed by Copps to play textbook football with zero pragmatism, it just didn't work, and he got the brunt of our frustration here after two years of dross.

But he seems a really decent bloke, and a coaching role supporting another manager and rebuilding his career here is a good step for him. Don't wish the fella any ill feeling at all, and hope he keeps building on his time in Aus.

He left Central Coast Mariners in the summer. Must surely be the same person.
