End of June until 2nd week in November, 18/19 weeks, so that’s perhaps £40,000 he has gone without
he is either stupid or loaded to loss that amount of money

Possibly got other business interests to fill his time. He’s certainly unlikely to be skint.

I didn’t say he would be skint, it was to show roughly how much money he could have earned in that time frame.

It's a puzzling one. Doesn’t seem like he needs to play football, financially, emotionally,  or both. But there was no lack of effort when he was here, he ran himself into the ground. Who knows what he looks for when signing a deal, or not.

No, he replied to you….keep up.

Personally I think he’s been badly advised by family purporting to have his best interests at heart.

Obviously he’s not without other income (define skint), but you can’t assume that’s from other business interests, might be inheritance or a good week at the bookies who knows?

Either way, he’ll perhaps in the future look back at his footballing career & perhaps think “Those days with Doncaster Rovers were THE best days”.

Perhaps.

Amazes me the interest some people have in a player that was never ours, yes he did well for a few months, but ultimately didn't get us promoted. The guys a mercenary looking for the best payday he can get and fair play to him.
As for looking back on his time with us, I imagine he doesn't give it more than a casual thought. Probably has better memories of the 3 years he was on Bristol City's books and the wages he was getting there.

All 7 games wouldn’t bring back many memories, like you say the wages were probably the memories

He’s on bench tonight

Made it on in the 87th minute of a 2-1 home defeat in front of 4034.

I always find it slightly odd when people talk about ‘loyalty over greed’ in respect of league 1 or 2 footballers. These guys probably have 10 prime playing years where they might be able to make a very decent salary, but they not earning premier league money. They will likely still need to find another form of income once their playing career ends.

I don’t blame them for trying to get the best deal for themselves and hope it works out for them.

Also, regarding Adelakun, how can we realistically expect loyalty from a player who was on loan for 6 months?

Regardless objectively he really should have signed with us, it was the right move for all at the time. Probably the player we missed out on that most disappointed me, he was very good.
