It’s everyone’s understanding that provisions are already in post Terry . The club isn’t solvent , it’s still a work in progress and would require huge investment to lift it out of its present average L1-2 state and turn it into a club playing for higher earnings . Selling the club would be pointless as it hasn’t an attractive enough support base with an average 8-9k It would have to be ran much like Bournemouth who only attract 11k plus and have benefactor who would bank roll losses far greater than Terry and those before him . I’d settle for dipping our toes back in the Championship and compete to stay and build from there !!

What was Wrexham's average gate before Ryan Renolds decided to invest in the club

Historically higher than ours and a bigger catchment area. They knew the potential was there.

Not quite sure of the nature of the OPs question though?

Apparently, while Wrexham is currently experiencing record-breaking attendance figures, the overall historical average and peak crowds favour Doncaster Rovers.

Reynolds wanted to buy Hartlepool initially so size of the club and gate size wasnt really his biggest consideration

Not sure it’s a bigger catchment area at all. Most people in north wales support Liverpool

GB regards Club Doncaster as the cash cow and even if it wasn’t, could the football club exist on its own? Incidentally having been to Bournemouth’s rather small ground do they not fill it completely every week with 10k or so? They presumably are heavily subsidised by their owners.

They only have Chester as their nearest rivals and not every footie fan will follow or can get access to Liverpool or Everton.

If you listen to any interview with the Hollywood duo, and their CEO, it is one of the main factors they chose Wrexham. Sorry BB, I was thinking about their time as a tier 3 and 2 club when they had some success in the late 70s, 80s etc, before their decline set in. Obvs our fortunes reversed in a similar fashion from JR era and the Eco moat.

Bournemouth have a large waiting list for season tickets. Their ground expansion will be getting underway soon.

Going back to the OP, I guess it will depend on what any potential new owner wants to buy.

The  Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster has about twice the population of the Metropolitan Borough of Middlesbrough. They get a gate of 25,000+ every week, by this logic we should have potential to get 50,000 every week.

Bournemouth probably get well over £100 million a year just by being in the premier league alone, regardless of attendances.

JR promised free PL season tickets should we have got there in the 2010s..

Historically they have generally played at a higher level than us and with bigger crowds. They also don’t’ have bigger clubs on their doorstep either. We lost almost  a generation of fans unfortunately in our wilderness years.

The borough population thing has been done for years and its always been a fallacy.

We have to remember that when you have 5 or 6 clubs within a 45min drive that have played at a higher lever or been more sucessful than us over the last 50odd years its always going to be a struggle to get them through the gate.

Its also a fact that some outlying districts in our metropolitan borough areas are as close as or closer to some of the above clubs than they are to us, having a Doncaster postcode is not a precursor to only support Rovers!

What you need to do as always to grow your support is to have a product that will entertain and people will come to watch, if you do that and also win then even better!

Turnover of £160m of which directly attributed Premier League income is £135m.

Wage bill of £138m and turn a loss of £68m.

You do realise that more football fans in the metropolitan borough support other teams rather than support Rovers?

Clueless!

Reality is we're probably not even the number 1 supported team in our city. However I think in the next decade or 2 we will be. Noticeably more kids are at Rovers games than in a long long time probably even the championship years.

The premier league I genuinely think is getting boring to a lot of people now too.
