Good performance but..............

I like everyone thought we were really good today and like everyone else I thought we were maybe a little sloppy down the channels defensively, their left winger looked really good however. Lots of positives, thought Clifton, Molyneux, Bailey and Gibson all played really well. BUT

1. What is the logic behind being in injury time and not once but twice Lot Tutala kicked the ball straight out of play! The guy is just not wired up right and an absolute liabilty, doesn't come for corners, can't kick and I was so pleased to see first Bailey shouting at him from the halfway line and then Nixon having a go at the end of the match. To kick the ball out with 5 minutes to go and give them 45 seconds to muck around getting it and roll it around the back 4 for another 30 secobnds then kick it long is criminal and I hope Letheren and McCann sort him out as the guy drives me insane. Wish he'd never come back!

2. Set pieces - May as well not have them, absolutely appalling, if there is a worse team than us at them I'd like to know. Everyone lining up at the back post for corners and can't beat the first man over and over again, kicking it straight out of play from free kicks, just utterly dreadful.

Lots of positives but I am really beginning to worry now. Look utterly inept in front of goal with no options to improve things, really poor. Its alright having good build up play which we did but honestly we are so frustrating to watch. Bring on Lincoln for their bounce back next week.

Mols set piece at the end beat the first man. Unfortunately it also beat the last man. Complete waste.

Thought we played well, as well as missing chances we didnt get the breaks in the box. It just didn’t fall right on occasions.
Several good performances, I’d pick Broadbent as MOM for us.
Agree that our loan players do not improve our squad. We’d be better off sending them all back, including Crew and signing a decent striker in January.
Billy needs some help, maybe playing Hanlan alongside him might do for now.

Who do you drop for Hanlan? There was times today it felt like we were one short in midfield and Barnsley had an extra man. Clifton needs to get closer to Sharp in his role. Btw he had a good game today I thought.

Why wasn’t Hanlan on from the start , Billy running the line without a partner looks inept and offers no threat as three defenders just run over him without any worry !!

Recruitment in the striking department has been abysmal. Same as last season we’ve gone into the season thinking we have enough up there when everybody knows we haven’t. Love Billy and he has been much better in this league than he was last season but he’s not enough and I think we can all agree that Hanlan and Olusanya are a complete waste of money. It’s like we just wait for January every season to realise we need reinforcements. I’m not really clued up on the statistics but we must be one of the lowest scorers in the division?

Performances are getting better but we are so poor defensively in comparison to the start of the season where we looked so assured and well drilled. Pearson for the 2nd goal was awful and to be honest in my opinion another really poor signing and I really feel for O Riordan as he never puts a foot wrong. So defensively and offensively we are nowhere near the level. All the other bits we are as good as anybody and even the more heavy defeats we haven’t been played off the pitch it’s just about us being rubbish in both boxes and individual stinkers.

We looked good until Clifton went off with the exception of right back
