We've had our medical department getting plenty of credit for improving our injury record (which checks out) but has it come at the expensive of athleticism? Every team we play looks faster and stronger than us, by some distance.
Possible our players just aren't built that way, but it's noticeable how lacking in pace and strength we are.

It’s a fair point. We certainly lack pace.

Wouldn’t put that at the medical/fitness teams door. We were never that athletic when we were getting lots of injuries.
More to do with us moving up a division which always comes with an increase in athleticism and we now look short. Other than defence it’s the sane team that played in L2 .

Perhaps we come back to the key issue of recruitment.
Middleton looks like he has pace and power. Beyond that, I'm struggling.

Lack of pace is definitely a problem, Hanlan offered some of that and we looked better for it. Billy really has lost a bit this past year and sadly it does look like ages is catching up with him at this level. Billy is working hard but it's harming the team imo. We need to go with Hanlan for now and look for a new number 9 in January.
