Amazing sentence. "The timing" presumably means the 10 months he was banged up. Were they looking at busting him out to get him on the bench or something? The lad never had the pace for a prison break.

He's been playing the in Baller League - I did a double-take when I first saw him as thought he'd been sent down for multiple years!
