does anyone know anything about Jim Harkin who used to play for doncaster in the 1934-35 season

There used to be someone of that name play cricket for Steetly and Retford in the late 60s/early 70s, he might be a son or nephew of the bloke you are after. I think he had a connection to the Dinnington/Anston so perhaps if you go on Facebook and look up Dinnington & District Sport through the ages. The admin is a man called Peter Norbury.
 Harkin is not exactly a very common name

Think he was related to a friend of mine. Malc Harkin. His granddads brother apparently. Family from Rossington.

As people have said he played No10 in the final match of the 1934-35 3rd Div North Championship winning season, a 1-0 defeat away at Halifax.

He got in the team photo for the 1935-36 season but doesn't appear to have played at all.
