  The Vertu Trophy Round of 16 draw will take place live during the Sky Sports EFL Show, on   Saturday 6 December at 11.45am.

Southern Section

5  Plymouth Argyle
6  Swindon Town
7  Walsall
8  Colchester United or West Ham United U21
Vertu Trophy Round of 16 ties are to take place week commencing 12 January 2026.

PRIZE MONEY

EFL Clubs Participation

£20,000 per Club

Group Stages

£10,000 per win / £5,000 per draw

Round of 32

£20,000 per win

Round of 16

£40,000 per win

Quarter Finals

£50,000 per win

Runners Up

£50,000

COMPETITION FORMAT

Vertu Trophy fixtures remain regionalised until the Semi-Final stage.

From Round of 16 phase to the Semi-Finals, no extra time shall be played. The winners shall be determined by penalty kicks.

HOW TO WATCH

For UK fans, all Vertu Trophy matches are broadcast live on Sky Sports, via Sky Sports+ and on streaming service NOW.

For international fans, Vertu Trophy matches are available for live streaming via Club platforms.

  Team bonus for a win and not great number of paying customers at home games and the costs incurred and not as much as you think left for the club if anything up to press.

If we could avoid Bolton or Stockport away I'd be happy, but absolutely agree one of there two at home are on paper the easier games, although they just both happen to be bogey teams of ours so who knows!! I'd like to think we really start to take this seriously now - it's a great chance of a trip to Wembley and for fans and players that's a rare occurrence, so be nice to go for it now!

£70k so far

Lose tomorrow in the Fa cup and it’ £68,950 from the FA cup

A win and it’s £127,250 + a minimum of £26,500 from the third round if we lose

Plus whatever we made in the other cup run
