Unbelievable how they finally got the corrupt Blatter out and replaced him with this character.

I hope someone is keeping a keen eye on the trophy, otherwise he'll have it.

There’s so much wrong with this World Cup. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many dyed in the wool England supporters already saying they won’t be going.

Ticket prices are off the scale. For me to follow England will cost somewhere between $4,700 and $12,000 if I can get Cat3 or Cat4 tickets.

Just seen this tweet from Football Supporters Europe.

Let us be very clear: this baby's rattle is not awarded "on behalf of billions of fans around the world", as @FIFAcom claims. It’s nothing more than an ego-stroking stunt.

This is a deeply troubling day for football & FIFA.

I hope they brought earplugs and something to read so they didn't have to endure that bloody awful cacophony. I would have.

Doesn’t matter who we have in our group. If we are supposed to be serious contenders then it doesn’t matter who’s in our group.
Will we be overhyped as normal

Not too bad a group for England. Scotland are probably delighted to be playing Brazil.

It's just mind-boggling.. I'm sure they'll be plenty of Scots thumbing a lift from May.

I still don't understand how the second stage is going to work but hey ho, the task is simple. Win every game!!

Crikey that was a tough watch. A cheese fest, and a confusing draw process to say the least.

I only saw the beginning of the draw on BBC News but the notion of FIFA awarding their own Peace Award to Donald Trump is sickening.

Who gave them the mandate to do this? Who nominated? Who voted?

FIFA is supposed to be a non-political organisation.

You’re right Martin, a deeply troubling day for football. But after awarding the World Cup to Qatar, I guess the die was cast.
This is a horrible spectacle.

Wouldn't go anywhere near it and won't be watching.  A complete farce topped off with the tangerine surfacing for accolades... I don't understand why regular yanks have stopped taking pot shots at him..

To be fair, England haven’t been overhyped since the golden era mess. Southgate did a superb job on the press and got the England lads likeable again. Since then it’s been much calmer on the expectation front.

I have a friend who is a retired Pro referee. He says we should expect some very Trump-influenced decisions throughout and it has already started at the draw.

Not a bad group, but then there aren't really any groups of death this year. Another great thing about the world cup killed off by this crap expanded format.
