Great Money Spinning Ideas

I'll start seeing as it's my idea.

As a potential money-spinner for the club, how about selling Tam o' Shanter's in the club shop?

Doncaster Rovers was formed in 1879 by a group of railway apprentices who wore unusual blue jerseys with yellow cross bands and blue Tam o' Shanter caps with red tassels.

The "Tam o' Shanter" was part of the original, distinctive first-ever kit worn by the team during its initial matches. While sportswear has evolved significantly since the Victorian era, this historical detail is a notable part of the club's founding story.

Always good to get new ideas BB.

I just don't think it would take off in sufficient numbers, especially being a historical reference to our non Red and white colours, not fitting in with our current colours.

We've seen bucket hats become a fashion items recently but how many are seen worn week in week out?

It will be interesting to see how many wear Santa hats come Santa Saturday and continue to wear them as a tribute to Bull Workman. Probably this will become an annual thing.

Will be interesting to hear others opinions.

Edit: An item we see in big numbers though is woolley hats, especially through the winter months, so maybe there's an opportunity. I've seen and owned plenty of black hats, then red ones but not that many red n white hooped hats?? Maybe scope for the blue and yellow cross design too?

I’ve always been surprised that we’ve never seen the appearance of this kit as an away shirt in recent seasons.

Yes Filo. Royal Blue with yellow crossbelts were the late great commentator Peter O’Sullevans colours.

This is one for a few season's time, 2029/30. 150 years since Rovers were formed then.

Viking capes as on the badge could be useful in bad weather, and you could have inflatable swords to go with it.
