Ajayi
« on December 09, 2025, 10:29:59 pm by mushRTID »
Did my eyes deceive me for that late ball into the box, when it looked like he just needed to head it in….

did he just shit himself and jump out the way or the ball?

Iv mentioned it before but it winds me up every year. This is the third year running this 4th choice young winger on loan has been an absolute disaster.

Nobody is telling me Kyle Hurst wouldn’t have offered us more than Ajayi off the bench.

Absolutely agree he should be throwing everything at it, 4 times I think it was he failed to attack decent balls.

Ajayi, Crew, Olusanya all can go back in January for me.  Ajayi will be good he's done well against league 2 Chesterfield, he's probably a division too high.

Yep, Tyler Roberts, Yeboah and Ajayi.

Would love to know who is doing their due diligence on these players.

Against Tottenham very early on a cross came in from the right at the far post and he missed it.
he wasn't pressurised either
Obviously he didn't want a dirty ball to mess up his hair up either that or he needs to go to specsavers

Ajayi has been a huge disappointment, in so much as he appears to be totally useless in many aspects of the game.
That cross was absolutely perfect right to him and should have been an easy goal.
We were watching him when the players came out for their warm up exercises and commented that there was very little effort compared to the others.
I posted on here sometime ago, that he is way off this level, and watching some of the non league teams in the cup at the weekend, there were quite a few players better than him.

I watched Hurst for an hour against Walsall on Sunday. I'm afraid he bore no resemblance whatsoever to a professional footballer.

Who is suggesting Hurst is the answer?

I’m saying that between August and now, he would have contributed more that Ajayi has. I’m very confident of that.

Our loans have been simply terrible this season.

Crew, Ajayi and Olusanya don't look remotely up to the standard required.

Getting the right replacements in January, plus as seems likely, one for O'Riordan is going to be crucial.

Very harsh on the lads. They have never had a run of games in and out of the team all the time

Ajayi looked decent at the start. Ran rings around Middlesbrough in the cup. Now looks calamitous

League 2 is probably his level right now and hopefully for him he will do well at Bromley.

Hugely out of his depth with us.

I also thought he would rip defences apart after seeing him in pre season.
I was so disappointed when he didn’t carry his form through to the league games.
I do expect him to come through though and have a good career.

Bit of homesickness probably. Away from friends and family and what he’s used to. Bromley will be better for him, build his confidence back up. Just didn’t work out with us, good luck to him.

He just needs to attack and not defend and he’ll flourish.

as it says on the tin above

"Ajayi was with Bromley before he signed for Spurs"

Bromley a few points clear at the top are at Chesterfield at 12-30 on tv and are

13/8  to win the title  They are hopefully the New Walsall 2.0 as I've just laid them

unless he has had a name change "a la Frankie " he's not on the bench today probably overslept at his Mother's house in Bromley and getting well fed.
watching the match Bromley lump of lard center half should have had a yellow for a more than blatant body check on blondie.

First time in years I want Chessie to win today. Commentator got conned into thinking Manderville   was going to take a long throw  -trouble is he hasn't got one !! 6 years since we released him.
Commentator described the lump of lard as a "Monster" (not a green one) as his header misses an easy chance.
Manderville taking all the supposedly inswinging corners.
Chesterfield have a 38 yo center half McFaz-something. He was 36 when he signed from Blackburn !!!

The Green Monster moved in on me and forced me off site/

Chessie been pressing most of the second half - some good moves from Chessie normally I would never praise Chesterfield. Walsall 0-3 up away( Hound will luv me saying the score that way ) so things tightening up on the leaders as Chessie make changes including Ladapo.

lots of changes been made by both sides & Cheek who hasn't has a sniff all game off

Chessie have all the chances  but Doncastrian finishes 148 Bromley fans and they are clear top  crows crowd over 7000

Chessie make 5th substitute  8 minutes more to suffer.

got forced off but here's the upda

penalty to Bromley  - hand ball apparently after the Monster put a header in -  no Cheek on to take penalty  penalty  saved with 90 seconds to go -- 5 minute injury time

Chessie kept on attacking but couldn't put the ball in. si Bromley's 7 wins in a row is stopped

History wise getting a lucky last minute penalty opens the gateway to the title etc
yet if Chessie had scored it might have blunted Bromley.

was it Boston or Crewe who years ago scored two very very late goals to beat us at Belle Vue and get promoted.
