Having just spent an hour or so catching up on all the posts and threads, I'm wondering if last night may turn out to have been a seminal moment...

For the first time ever, I think, the threads tonight seem to me to have introduced a sea change in the attitude towards our manager. It doesn't look irretrievable right now, but it does look as if a pretty radical reassessment has started. And that, given the huge leeway he has previously earned, looks seminal to me. A stuffing at Cardiff could be bloody damaging in a lot more ways than the obvious one...

McCann has been given the backing of everyone from supporter through the to owner and he has not wavered from the job . The club has listen to what back room staff is needed , a new training gym to help with player fitness and development.
The budget may well have not been enlarged a great deal but it has not been reduced . Though Deficiencies are still obvious in the recruitment of players the loan market is still being used to help with stability.
I hope the McCann is given clear passage next season to spend if required to bring in a replacement for Billy Sharp probably the best player the club ever paid good money for !! But we need his replacement urgently !! And I think McCann is still our man !!

I can’t be the only one that can see the pattern, recruit in the summer with an idea in his head, keep shuffling the pack up to Christmas recruit better in January then finally settle on a first eleven and we suddenly start picking up points

Every single season by the way including when previously here. Thinks he's Ranieri.... he isn't. Different team every week then sets on an eleven middle of January and no changes

It's League 1, pick your best team and as we saw Tuesday, that doesnt include Sharp and Clifton has to play. If you're resting people for fatigue, Cardiff awaywas the one. Nobody is expecting anything at all but Stockport at home when we have actually looked functional? Yep...changes. Nuts

Usher. If you can't read the bleeding obvious in the press, the media, facebook and on here, then nothing I can say will shift those mental blinkers.

On the point of fan expectations, the average predicted position on the forum came out as 10th.

An interesting read. Most went mid table but there was far more who tipped us for promotion / play offs than did a relegation battle.

I think its going to get tougher before we see the better, over the next month.
Supporters need to stand up and be counted too, rather than nicpicking at every pass, support.

Honestly try it, the games are far more enjoyable.

We are a win from mid table and only a few wins from around playoff chances.

I dont think we will get there, but we wont if the supporters are all just picking up every weakness all the time.

Everyone arent football managers including myself, if so you would be in the dug out. Thats the reality. Now be what you are, a supporter and support. Its dead simple..... that should be the seachange as BobG would put it.

Even a thought of getting rid of Mccann would be stupity itself.
If we ever get back into the chamionship I doubt it will be overnight and probably not the right time anyway.

Just be positive and support.

I cant believe I am writing this with 3 good cup runs, solid foundations being built with investments in new gyms etc...... the driving force for all that is Mccann.

Just support him for what he is building and help him to get there.

Usher wide.

I’ll take that as none then.

There’s a saying ‘Don’t believe everything you read’. However, I don’t recall seeing anything in the ‘Free Press’ or ‘Yorkshire Post’ (They’re local papers you may not have read) alluding to a growing disgruntled supporter base.

Which media outlets have you heard vilifying comments on, Radio Sheffield’s ‘Praise & Grumble’ or ‘Panorama’?

As for Facebook, I’ve never felt the need to see who is eating what for breakfast, how Jessica from Essex is dealing with her piles or finding ‘new friends’ who suddenly ‘block me’. Far more satisfying to sit in the stand on matchday amongst fellow supporters & talk, discuss all things Rovers with them…..oh I forgot for a second, you’re not privy to that sort of instantaneous, honest feedback from supporters who hear & ‘feel’ the atmosphere in the ground because you don’t attend games of course.

As for this forum well, pick & choose your moaners on here. They’re like bluebottles. They come in ones & two’s looking for anything that ‘smells off’ but buzz off again once they find it was only a whiff stink, a bit like your post really.

Cheers

Usher
