We’re all hurting but…
« on December 14, 2025, 12:19:19 am by Usher wide. »
We came back twice from 1-2 & 2-3 behind at the home of the league leaders who will undoubtedly go on to win this league by 6-8 points (is my opinion) & were ‘cruelly robbed’ of a point in the 99th minute of a game the 4th official had indicated an added on time of 7 minutes.

So naturally there will be….no, has & is being shown negatively towards players. Some posters are using their ‘I told you so card’, others have axes not only to grind but finely honed & ready to wield.

TLT is a young keeper (22 years old) playing at the highest level in his career. He’s 10 years from being in his prime in his position. TSL was a great hit here last season as a 21 years old old keeper playing in what became a Champions Lg2 team, but I remember very well him having the same criticism’s thrown at him as TLT is having now until the turn of January. Granted his kicking was very good but his shot stopping came in for some real ‘dogs abuse’ earlier.

After match reports by those on the forum have thus far (TLT I’ve covered) slated Owen Bailey for ‘swinging a leg at’ but not connecting’ for their winning goal, Luke Molyneaux for not tracking their runner for the cross, Grehan for being positionally naive playing at right back (although other posters say he wasn’t playing right back?!) O’Riordan ‘who can go back to Blackburn gladly on that showing’, right down to Ben Close spending ‘far too long down injured sat on the pitch’ which allegedly also contributed to Cardiff having those extra 90 seconds in which to score the winner despite the fact Ben went off injured after his ‘sit down to waste time’.

Today if the score had ended at 3-3 we would have gone home ‘happy’?

And yet some posters (& I would have been in agreement here) we ‘deserved’ all 3 points. 3 points at a massive club who two seasons ago were playing in the Premiership & are still benefiting from the monies passed down from that time that they can spend on wages & recruitment we have never dreamed of even in our heady days in the Championship.

So let’s not throw ‘the baby out with the bath water’.

I was gung-ho at the start of the season thinking ‘Well, nothing to fear here, why not a top six?’. Obviously I’ve now toned those expectations down a tad but I’m absolutely sure about one thing……we are better than at least 12 sides in this division that I have watched play & we still have a January transfer window in which to recruit.

Keep the faith.

Lovely post sir.

Im very critical of TLT for the 4th. Should do 100% better, but feel more positive after that than prior.

The one thing missing was Broadbent who generally protects the back four was not at the match so can't comment on Ben Close.

The keeper is an idiot

A very carefully considered and well-presented argument, congratulations Padge.

Best comment …from a Cardiff fan “ Will settle for a point the way this game as ( sic) gone for us. Surely these will fly up the league?!”
