I've never seen him so defeated, he looked a broken man..

He's looked like this at some point of the last 3 seasons. He looked utterly broken last season after the Walsall match at the start of April, when it really looked like the season was slipping out of our hands.I'm no psychologist but I do sometimes wonder if he needs to touch the bottom to find some inspiration. Like I've said elsewhere, the fact that we went on possibly the greatest run in the club's history immediately after the dreadful performances at home to Stockport and away at Sutton is noteworthy. And of course after that Walsall match, we won 17 of the remaining 21 points to clinch the title.

But on the face of it, he's saying "We are playing crap and I don't know why". That's a bit worrying.I understand that it’s tough for a manager to give an interview after a loss of that nature but the whole interview was concerning. What about the bit where he says it maybe the case the he gives the players too much confidence? Really odd thing to say. I don’t really understand the fact he thinks we need to start from scratch. Surely we have a philosophy and style of play and it’s just a case of doing what we need to do but better. Can’t rewrite the whole style in December surely. Before yesterday's game I said to our old boy clearly we can score goals but not enough if we keep conceding multiple goals.....For me there needs to be some serious focus on tightening up at the back. We aren't guna win many games by outscoring if we are consistently conceding 2 or more. Need to start getting a few clean sheets on the board and work from there. If this means a change of system then so be it. Couldnt get my head around Grehan and McGrath starting together with the experience of Pearson sat on the bench. Will never know if it would have made a difference.More worrying for me was the fact we had an extra man in midfield and they were passing it through us like we had 2 men sent off. It was crazy how easy it was for them to just stand in 5 yards of space all the time.School boy stuff.
