It’s a kind gesture - although let’s not get caught up in the propaganda machine of a Premier League side. The stadium has a capacity of 5300 and Palace will get at most 15pc of that. That’s 800 tickets at say £20 a pop. That’s 16k gross and once costs and tax deducted probably won’t be much over 10k. Palace will have academy players being paid not far off that each week. Also Macclesfield Town are hardly short of a few bob at that level.
