I said that at the time, he basically just climbs all over Jay. We don't get that given, & we don't get that penalty given either. Tough night, but we're fighting still.

Any streetwise defender who is being climbed all over and cannot jump hits the deck to make it obvious. Jay just shrugged his shoulders afterwards and accepted it.

Look how quick wooton went down for the penalty. He didnt stay on his feet once he realised he wasnt getting the ball. He made every person in that ground aware of it.

We are consistintly being done over by more streetwise and less honest players.

Just looked a good bit of forward play to me, similar to a few Street, Marquis etc scored for us. We need that player too.

It just looks too easy in the build up for them if anything, midfield not getting close enough and sat too deep.

Any ball played to Hanlan with his back to goal is a wasted ball. Absolutely pointless and not his game.

Absolutely. That's the root cause is how deep we were sitting. It all started when Nixon went on a good run but carelessly gave the ball away. On the turnover, you could see we had not followed him as a unit up the pitch which left gaps for them to get onto our back line quickly who retreated to inside the box. Then they recycled the ball backwards but instead of following the ball out, we just stood near the penalty spot waiting for the cross.
Had our defenders had run out either Wootton would have been caught offside, or it would have been more difficult to score from the extra 15 yards out.

Their equaliser was similar where we dropped too deep before the initial shot came in. The back line should have been 5 to 10 yards further forward.

We simply don't react quick enough and ball watch. Meat and drink for centre forwards with a free run to attack the goal, rather than beng forced to retreat to stay onside.

... and of course Referees who on the whole are very very very poor.

The one last night SHOULD have produced a second Yellow for Norwood's supposed tackle on Senior.

It might not have altered our result , but we will never know , BUT we do know that Stockport will gain from his ridiculous leniency as he is available to play in their next game instead of serving a Suspension

Extended highlights available or free on club website. You'll be able to see Hanlans awful missed header early on, our powder puff midfield, the amazing save to deny Bailey.

Also have noticed Hanlan just standing there and doing nothing when Gibson hits post and not following up surely that's strikers instinct
