They have a striker who'd scored 5 in 12 starts before today. He didn't get a sniff today. I agree they were poor, but we've played a lot of not very impressive sides this season, and we've usually managed to find ways to concede.

I don’t care who we beat or how we beat them or how good or bad they are. I’m not going back to League Two. No joy there whatsoever. Miserable.

Frankie has played very little football, I reckon he’ll come good, but he’ll need minutes to settle in.

Agree this could be the case. But do we have time to wait for him to do so? I don’t.

So pleased to see that cheat get sent off, I really don’t like him or his antics - so pleased he got what he’s deserved in most of the games against us.
Hanlan did well to keep on his feet as long as he did and looked a penalty to me, but need to watch it back.

For me we need to start with Hanlan, the others can be brought on as and when.

Zander did the basics well and his kicking was on point

Two good saves. No theatrics. He’s solid.

just need to get to the 50 point target asap. We have seen week in week out clubs at the lower end are capable of taking points off the teams near the top, we just need to start being that team that takes points off everyone.

Beat wigan next Saturday and then we are only 1 point behind them, the table can start to change very quickly

Just the result we needed no matter how we got it, and overall  I think it was well deserved, nobody had a bad game and we have played better and done more in games we have lost.
That's football. we battled gave as good as we got and can come away from the game with the monkey off our back.
Take the points and enjoy the win now we have to get down to it and back this result up the next game.
A well done to all involved from me, showed fighting spirit and team spirit along with total effort into the last couple of minutes, that's all I ask

i thought so when i watched the highlights back once and at full speed, but just listened to Grants interview and he said the ref made the right call so I guess they have watched it back and have agreed with the ref

They offered very little, but we played a part in that by closing them down and working hard.

We deserved the win, had the best chances. Like the look of Robinson, think he will be getting a starting place very soon. Not sure about Frances though. Does not compete or look mobile. Early days but so far not convinced. Hanlan and Sharp did much more when they came on. I must admit though it was risky taking Clifton off, for Gibson, i would have took Molz off instead.

Great leap and header from Bailey, we are so lucky to have him.

Okeronko not doing much need billy on.

Yes he wasn’t in the game at all, think he made one good pass into the middle. We can’t afford any passengers, not sure why he didn’t bring Billy on at half time.

Or Hanlan maybe?

Think he’s out injured for a bit now.

Having a functioning goalkeeper for the first time helps.

As others have said, felt a lot like Sutton- whilst we were pretty solid I didn’t think we played very well and the late goal seemed to come from nowhere, and there is no better feeling! There was the odd sign of better to come, two class touches from Haks in particular, but there is still so much more to come from us going forward if we can find a decent midfield.

he started the first for games this season for Hearts which they won 3 and then for some reason got dropped

Who on Earth designed that away kit and thought it was a good idea? It's horrendous and even the Belles would be embarrassed to wear it.

Schwolow is a really strong keeper at Hearts. No shame being a back up to him. Clark is certainly an upgrade on what we have had previously this season.

He played the first 4 but didn’t play well according to the Hearts’ fans I know. After keeping a clean sheet in the first game he conceded 6 in 3 and his confidence was absolutely shot. All I’ve heard is that he’s a good keeper who had a bad couple of games, I think he’ll be a big upgrade for us in that position.

Absolutely delighted with the result today. Wimbledon is usually a big day for me as my brother lives close by but after one too many disappointment and difficulties getting down there we skipped it this year. Perhaps we should skip it more often. Horrible team and I hope they go down.

I do - it's particularly glorious to beat this set of thugs - especially as it was a late red card that did for them

Fully deserved the win against a vile team who tripped, pulled, faked injury and went down at the slightest of touches. The referee let them do it for the best part of 70 minutes before consciousness kicked in.

And so glad that kunt Lewis got sent off. Bellend of a player.

Get the f**k in.

Apparently FO may have tweaked his hamstring early on, could have affected his game perhaps.?

He’s just arrived, a little patience please before we judge too harshly.?

Brilliant! Nothing beats a last minute winner which gives the opposition little time to respond to.

Their goalkeeper made a couple of excellent saves but we have to be right he's made a real clanger at the end to gift Rovers those 3 points.

Still after the frustration and annoyance of the Cardiff, Reading and Wigan games amongst others it's great to be on the right side of a goalkeeping howler this season!

Exactly, and those keeper clangers have cost us dear, we were full of belief we belonged in the league until those mistakes.

That last gasp goal as we all know, can really build confidence and bring a group together.

Let’s see what Grant says at the meet the owners event in a couple of weeks, he’s been pretty good at predicting the future for the last two years.

The clean sheet is a big thing and hopefully there’s a few more of them to come. Couldn’t watch today but was surprised McGarth was in ahead of Pearson but the result proves it the right decision.

No surprise Bailey was centre half he’s our best player is any position.

Conceded 9 in our last 3 away league games.

9 in our last 4*

Even though we’ve signed outstanding attackers in each of the last two Januarys, it feels as though the foundation for our success was finding a more successful formula at the back. Fingers crossed we replicate that by signing another defender or another midfielder/work out how best to set up with what the midfielders we’ve got to allow us to play Bailey at the back.
