One of their “fan” - a bald geezer in a brown parka - was getting involved with the Rovers dugout at the final whistle. Kitson

They have a striker who'd scored 5 in 12 starts before today. He didn't get a sniff today. I agree they were poor, but we've played a lot of not very impressive sides this season, and we've usually managed to find ways to concede.

Having a functioning goalkeeper for the first time helps.

Absolutely this. He's a class act.

Having a quality keeper made a big difference today across the entire team.

Apparently FO may have tweaked his hamstring early on, could have affected his game perhaps.?

He’s just arrived, a little patience please before we judge too harshly.?
Spot on.

Wimbledon manager thought they should have had a penalty and Senior yellow should have been red. Must say every time a tackle goes in like that I fear the worst these days. Threshold of red is getting lower.

He clearly won the ball, and well in advance of the Wimbledon player, but his right leg did scissor around, which could be a natural reaction to the opposing player coming in. It could also be a defender thinking to bring the man down with the ball.

Senior has a habit of these style tackles.

I didn’t think it was a red and thought a yellow was very harsh - their antics of going down like they were being shot at any challenge make it hard for the ref who may only get a snap shot of it.

Perhaps it’s me being very naive but these antics are becoming way worse than ever before. I don’t want to see it, it embarrasses me on their behalf.

We are now off the bottom of the League One form table and level on points with Wigan Athletic, who we play next Saturday.

Ten years ago its a solid challenge. Wins the ball and makes the opponent wary of future challenges . Now its classed as reckless endangerment. Think a yellow was fair in the letter of the law. Still love to see these tackles though.

3 of us watching the replays, and neither of us think it was a yellow. He got to the ball first and like others have said he appeared to be slightly in front of their player.
However in real time ref could have gone 3 ways, no foul/yellow/red and we all know what poor decisions have already taken place this season, thus probably best we accept yellow rather than a red which it definitely was not.

I think it was the correct decision. He’s just gone over the ball without meaning to. As previously posted he has a habit of these tackles Senior and on another day with another ref he may be on the end of a poor decision as per Morecambe last season. It’s the commitment I want to see though. I think Senior has been comfortably better than Maxwell for some time now.

Agreed, Senior is a wholehearted player and better than Maxwell in every aspect of the game.

He didn’t go over the ball, he got the ball, there’s an argument his follow through caught the man, a yellow at worst with a picky ref, for me it was a good robust tackle

His foot absolutely rolls over the top of the ball. Yes the first contact is on the ball but that doesn’t make it a fair tackle. It’s not even close to being reckless though.

What happened to a strong win the ball challenge. Great tackle for me & clearly won the ball.

I’ve just watched it again and it was a very poor one. Worse than I initially thought.

On Senior, the ball to Mols for his good chance was a thing of beauty. Second best moment of the game for me!

Don’t change Jack. Said it for a while that his commitment and enthusiasm to getting stuck in is a real joy to watch.

Jackson can’t complain. His Wimbledon side have been big horrible shithouses for years now.

You have probably never played football. If you had then you would know that was a perfect tackle. It isn’t subbuteo or Fifa 26

It certainly wasn’t a perfect one, and I’ve played a lot of football thanks.
