Rovers top 6 finish………

…… can lightning strike twice in 3 years, well it’s 80/1 to happen with William Hills, and a mate said when I told him, “ It pays for next year’s season ticket”.

Was 100/1 last week. Couldn’t resist lobbing £30.00 on a top six finish. Worth the risk I reckon.

We would have been those sorts odds 2 years back you'd imagine, in a poor league.  Fair play t anyone having a flutter  but  a once in  a lifetime run twice in 3 years , that's slim chance

I backed us at 200/1 two years ago before we went on that amazing run. I can’t believe the odds are shorter now in our current position.

We are 13 points behind Huddersfield in 6th place and they have played a game more than us. If we were to go on a bit of a run it could be very interesting.

As we've seen over the last couple of seasons, when it comes to the business end, it's difficult for clubs to average 1.75 pts per game with everyone fighting for something. The only exception to that might be Cardiff this season.

So anyone who can go on a run will soon gobble up the points difference.  We've seen Peterborough climb the table in no time at all.

The odds of a play off place two years ago not long after the Sutton game were nowhere near those quoted on this thread.
I had a flutter at about 40/1 and picked up a nice amount when we finished fifth then.

I must have dreamt the odds I got then.

I got 100-1 on reaching the playoffs plus bigger odds for promotion just after the Sutton game

May get in the playoffs with 70 points.

44 points in 21 games. That’s the same points per game as Cardiff are going at and they are top.

So to put it another way, if everyone else stopped playing now we’d still need to win 5 games in a row to get in to the top 6. That shows how much of a challenge it is.

We are in trouble if the second half of the season historical form starts to give us an expectancy rather than belief.

We'd need to be playing pretty special compared to the traffic above us to get top 6 for that to happen and there's no sign of that at present. There's a bit of a gap between 5th and 6th too, so it's likely going to be a lot of teams fighting over one spot.

Stevenage to be relegated at 50/1 is tempting me as an outside bet. They are only 9 points above the drop, have won 1 in 10 and are playing woefully by account of one of their fans I follow.

Playoffs isn't happening, but we can definitely have a respectable top-half season, with some good results along the way, beating Rotherham and Barnsley in their own back yard.

Get a decent CB - which seems to be on the cards - and get a settled team with a bit of confidence, no reason why we can't push on out the bottom.

Big game on Saturday, but even a win won't get us out the drop zone, but it drags it all nice and close. Time to string some results together!

I’m not saying that at all, just what Sky bet offered when I placed my bet.
Must have been longer after the Sutton game than I thought it was but it was still a bit of a pipe dream at the time.
