Will give him a chance. But I'm not seeing what he brings that we don't already have in the squad?

McCann- “He’s everything we want in a centre half - he’s experienced, he’s a leader, he can shift, he’s got decent pace on him for defending space in-behind and he’s calm on the ball.

“I think he’ll add to our team and what we have and add that bit of nous that’s probably been missing for a while.”

Their fans are saying he's slow.

If mccann and team havent done their scouting right and it turns out he is slow after those comments, we'll know, and that would be unforgiveable.

My mate is good friends with a Tranmere fan. Who’s told him this;

‘ couldn’t get in the team and we were near the bottom, plays like he’s towing a caravan’

On paper it's a horrible signing. Let's hope he surprises

Hardly expect McCann to come out and say he’s rubbish but…. We have lost a player who got MOTM for Blackburn on Saturday and brought in a player who’s not even been getting in Bradfords squad. Even if we didn’t lose COR, we needed to sign a centre half so for me this doesn’t feel very good at all.

Absolutely honking signing, that makes no sense.
He's a non league journeyman who's career highlight is being a bench player for a league 2 club.
Mcann said hes experienced, but hes played next to no minutes at league 1 level.

No one can tell me we've got a decent budget when were rolling out signings like this.

Probably our most important position we needed to sign, and we roll out this competition winner near the end of the window.

TB, doesnt want a legacy, thats clear.

Are we having Aldi sponsoring us next season?

I think we just have to accept we are where we are now. The club won’t say it but we don’t have the money and we are a bottom half, fighting for survival league 1 side. We can all talk all we want about budgets but unless anyone else comes in the club has proven to me that they can’t afford to push any further. I just wish they would be honest with us instead of all the noise.

If he's straight in tomorrow, Dom Ballard will rip him a new one.

Don't be surprised when we are in a relegation battle to the end of the season. No way will we reach the dizzy heights of the top half of the table.

Time for TB to hand over the reigns then.

If were fighting relegation from league 1 by signing non league journeyman, then there is something seriously wrong

Is the budget the problem or is the problem that we're spreading the budget across a massive squad of below average players at this level?

Grant has to make the signing sound better what they are because he knows the board cannot afford the level of funds both in fees and wages to keep
Us competitive in this league. Embarrassing signing  and CH who is 4th or 5th in line at Bradford who just got promoted we finished as champions yet they have progressed with good signings in the summer and hopefully in January and we have regressed. We have to hope our forward players can score goals to win games.

I get that some feel let down and underwhelmed by this signing but come on the guys not kicked a ball yet, lets see how he performs in our team under our manager and with our players, nobody knows that outcome yet and should really wait until its a fact before diving in.

Need to support the team if we want them to achieve anything this season!

Let’s see him play first.

I do imagine the budget was quite healthy this season, but it has maybe been stretched to get Haks, Zander and Frankie into the club.

After everything Grant has said in recent interviews about we just need to finish our chances, I feel he may have overlooked the opposite end, fully believing it.

If we manage to stay up, which I think we should, there has to be significant funds allocated for a defensive areas.

Crazy thought, throwing a 32yr old who is as slow as a boat, who hasnt played any minutes in the league this year against the league's top scorer after only being in the building for 1 day

Some abject stuff on here. Give the lad a chance. He's not played a single minute yet and people are writing him off.

And I bet if the player or
the manager does fail you’ll be all over like a rash, as per usual. Before you start I am not a “ happy clapper” more of a realist, give the player a chance , I doubt you will.
You seem to thrive on the club’s failings, never have anything positive to say about anyone , from Terry Bramhall downwards, do the ball boys a good job or the programme/ Red&White ticket sellers, who I found out on Saturday are volunteers.

Also a concern for me is the fact this has been the worst kept secret for a few days, who connected to the club leaks this info?

It’s not a signing that give us much confidence is it. McCann doesn’t value defence much by the looks of it.

If he plays along side McGarth for the remainder of the season we are down. We’ve hope if Bailey is back there.

Nobody has seen him play yet. Not many players who sign have a great background or have been special previously, if they had, we wouldn't be able to get near them, most of those players are all your favourites or have been your favourites.

Sometimes, change of manager, tactics, players you are playing with all makes a difference.

Give him a chance here for gods sake.

Its so childish.

Lets see how he gets on and fingers crossed we are fine to kick on next year in league 1.

Rob Jones. Signed aged 33 after being at another League One club. Slow as a boat. Never done anything. Over the hill. Can't believe we signed an old clogger like him.
