Looked a few unfamiliar names in the line up and it was a cup game against what I imagine is a very good academy?

Didnt we loan some of the 18’s out recently.

Half the “ usual “ Under 18s have been sent out on loan to the likes of Maltby to play some men’s football, so with that take I bet quite a few of today’s teams were schoolboys.
That doesn’t really matter it just gives the original poster another stick to prod Rovers with.

Two teams Swansea and Cardiff have the pick of Wales and the backing of the Welsh FA courses to filter them through, and  quite a few u16s played for us in place of the loanees out.
  Not a great result though.

Apparently the loanees u18 in some cases were brought back for this game so not a great look.

I’m not sure if I’m going soft at my grand old age of 31, but, wouldn’t it have been better form from the Swansea lads to just tell them to ease off at 5/6-0?

Suppose there’s a lesson in every defeat and all that but that’ll keep some of the poor buggers up at night for a while I’d have thought.
