Very impressive debut. Wrexham must have some squad if he cant get in their side.

He’s beautiful on the ball. Unlucky not to score, their keeper made a great save. Need to get him in a position where he can really control the game.

That défense splitting pass 30 seconds after KOff put Hal’s  in and on to Bailey with one touch…1- 0 ..what a debut first touch from Lee

I thought Clifton would be the obvious casualty for Lee but after tonight I’d drop Haks and use him as an impact sub

Hes a class act for sure. Would love to see him in that number 10 role behind Frankie.

Looked to the manner born, his obvious class shone through even in those poor conditions.

Will be some player for us.

Our game intellegence has just increased by 50% in an instant!

Clifton was superb tonight. A proper shift, and a lovely back heel to set up Billy.

He’s going to have a lot of offers.
It’s quite possible he’s come here knowing he will play and our style suits him to put himself in the best position in the summer.
Clear he would be a real coup in the summer.

Wonder if there’s a first option to buy like we had with Cam John included in the deal.

Depending on how the run in goes.
I believe we if wanted, we would stand a good chance of signing Lee permenantly.
Just look at his interview and the reason he came here. He wanted to play in a mcann team, he could of gone to a team higher up the league but only here sparked his intrest.

So do I.
I think he signed a contract extension in Jan 2024 to take him to the end of 2026/27 season.

I reckon Wrexham will be trying to offload him in the summer and this is why they have allowed him out on loan. Obviously they will be looking for a fee and maximising the fee will be another reason.
You could see quality from the very start last night, and he did look reasonably fit, so hopefully won’t need too many games to get to full match fitness.
On thing seems clear playing like he did last night, there won’t be a shortage of clubs  looking at him in the summer.

Not really, Haks is great when on it, awful when not, Clifton’s work rate is immense and would be badly missed but his position is the obvious one for Lee so
A bit of a problem for Grant plus given the tripe you regularly come out with I’d take a long hard look in the mirror

Lee showed his quality on the ball, him play CAM when Frankie comes back will be great to see if he performs like that.

It will also show what its like to play with a proper ball playing 10 in the team.

This isn't a dig at Clifton, his press is great and you do need grafters in our team, but to go to the next level you need a Lee in your team and then you bring a Clifton on 75-80 mins to see out the game.

I get what been said about Haks, but he chases the ball down and every pass he makes has purpose, can switch play etc. Could try Haks upfront with Lee behind him and then Middleton on the left, see how that works while Frankie is out.

Fantastic interview from Lee on the website, spoke from the heart. So good to hear his balance on the move, how he loved being at Wrexham but knowing he’s now got to move on. Absolute Class operator, hope it goes really well and he finds a new home…. with US!

Wouldn’t get hopes up on signing him at end of season,he would need to take a huge drop in wages and that’s before any fee is involved

Is also 32 later this year. He will not have too many options for a high paying starting role in a League One side.

May not be an issue,  if what Elliott was saying in his recent interview is to be taken seriously. If he plays a large part in avoiding relegation then surely he want to stay next season too?
We've been playing catch up in terms of  budgets for a while, kudos to T. Bramall for recognising that  and changing it, the recent signings point to an increase far above from when G. Baldwin said we underestimated what was necessary prior to the transfer window closing 2 years ago.
There's been noticeable increases in budget  ever since the end of 2023.
High likelihood T. Bramall would increase the budget further if Grant asks for it to keep Elliott next season.
Anyway  one step at a time.

I don’t think the negotiation with Elliot would be as difficult as the transfer fee.
