That 1-1 draw was 2 years ago today.
very surprised to see that 6 of the players that started that game also started tonight.

It was also the 29th league game of the season and we had 29 points. Eventual playoff opponents Crewe were occupying fifth place that evening on 51 points.

I'm intrigued, Dickos. Who were the 6?

At a guess TLT, molyneux, Sterry, mcgrath? Adelakun, Bailey. Good bit of trivia that.

We were abysmal that day,
More than anything it probably shows how McCann improves players

It also showed how effective a change of mentality can be, allowing confidence to grow.

Although Sutton was the very bottom of the pit of despair, we waited a little longer for the winning run to start,  but everything after that was pointing upwards.

We've had a bad summer of recruitment. No way of hiding that. Before that it was generally better.

He does seem to have a blind spot though with loanees, strikers and keepers. Also contract extensions are a bit suspect.

Went to see Boston v Sutton today. Decent game. Hiwula came on as sub. And his main contribution was a dive to try to get a peno which he was duly carded card for, for an obvious dive .
