Fingers crossed that Rovers midfield will defend and press properly tonight.

Our second team has been stronger than most of this division, Huddersfield care less about this competition than we do, I go for a win tonight, 1-2

8 changes from Huddersfield’s last league game compared to 10 for us. Alfie playing up front for them.

How can we not care about being 2 games from Wembley?

To be fair it has worked so far this season, they have had shots unlike us unfortunately.

This formation just does not work at all.
A 40 year old lone striker up top, 4 stationary midfielders not making any runs and a holding midfielder stood between the centre halves.

Grant McCanns season in a nutshell

Sky commentator doesn’t know most of the Rovers players’ names.

Nobody will ever convince me that inverted wingers is a great idea

Stifles momentum, and makes it obvious what the winger needs to do to cut back inside

I absolutely hate it

For me Middleton needs to go back to the other side, Gibson showing why he isn’t in the team.

Doesn’t help Middleton and Gibson are not good enough.

The in midfield all the same players working to close down no pace going forward or backwards. They are doing a job but that's it. Gibson and Middleton again  okay defensively but not doing anything going forward. Gibson loses the ball when he try's Middleton not doing anything going forward. Defence okay but very slow. None of the players showing they are good enough for a good league one side

Good lord, where to start with that? So disjointed as a team, and such lack of control of the game.

Still we are winning - get in!

Fingers crossed we try to attempt to play in the second half. It doesn’t look like it would take much of an improvement to beat these based on that first half.

Half time 0-1 this is not a classic game of football. But we lead and that is all that matters

Rovers can bless their lucky star they are ahead in this match, they have been in their penalty area maybe twice I reckon, a good job the ref was looking after us! He must have felt sorry for us. We need at least Adelakun and Bailey on at half time.

Regardless of what folks think of some of our players starting tonight, I think it’s fair they get a game after the performance last Saturday.

These players are talented enough.

It’s the lack of consistency that doesn’t see them featuring more frequently at league one level.  Sharp aside, who has nowt to prove.
