Great performance from him, not putting too much blame on the goal as that was Grehans fault but he kept us in the game with some amazing saves and then an absolute legend in the shootout.

About time all those idiots who use him as a scapegoat kindly do one.....he shut you boys well and truly up tonight.

Fair play Tiimmy, had a great game. Whatever Grehans getting paid in front of you is too much. Not what we’re looking for. Rusty screws turn quicker. Onwards to the semi finals, hoping for a home draw.

Bravo, inspired tonight. Let's take that into the league and have TLT 1.0 back.

Is the semi-final a two legged affair? I recall the Crewe game, which was titled a northern area final if I remember rightly was two legged.

Just 1 game and it’s not regionalised, so not necessarily Stockport.

He did a knee slide towards the Rovers fans at the end of the game.

Thought he looked a very happy man in a very ‘happy place’.

Timmy was excellent tonight. His saves in the game kept us in it and his penalty saves were tremendous

Not two legged, not regionalised.

Really happy to see him doing well.

Calling the fans Idiots?

His form and performances were poor in the league. Mistake after mistake cost us points, saw him dropped for Lawlor and replaced by another loan signing.

We all hoped for him to be great, simply put he had a very poor start to the season, hopefully that's behind him.

But let's not call fellow supporters idiots for pointing out the obvious and feeling let down.

Here's to a great end to the season for TLT.  But let's not think everything has been top of the pops this season.

He was great all night, amazing that the first mention he got on lucky pint was part blaming him for their goal. Took crosses, was great off his line & some good shot stopping, the pens were the icing on the cake.
Well done Timmy.

Funny isn't it, everyone slagging him off, saying he is rubbish, send him back, buy a goalkeeper...... now look whats happened. None of these players are rubbish, keep supporting them.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who thought it was a bit of an awkward celebration. No one really ran to him after the final miss, and then his celebration was to pick up a ball and smash it into the stands then go get his towel and walk off?

I get that it’s not cool to over celebrate in this particular cup but surely he deserved the players to mob him rather than demurely commiserate with the Huddersfield team.

He appeared to need to be coaxed by Bailey to do some fist pumps at the end.

It’s great to see an improvement in any player and no one is disputing TLT’s excellent contribution tonight, but this forum is for comment and he has been rightly criticised for points dropped as a result of his mistakes in the past. Tonight does not undo them and whilst none of the players sets out to let the team down, fans are rightly critical when they do. I do not share your amusement; the points lost will never be recovered.

We also didn’t see the usual goal celebration from Billy after he put his penalty away in the first half.
If that had been in a league game he would have been much more demonstrative.
I agree that TLT didn’t make too much of a big deal about his efforts but wasn’t surprised when he didn’t get mobbed by the other players.
Goals, saves and wins don’t get the same response by players in this competition as they do in league games  do they.
Maybe a semi final win or a win at Wembley if we get there might be different.

With the greatest of respect i will call them idiots, the booing of him at the plymouth home game from a section of the south stand was diabolical and slagging him was uncalled for especially since the first 3 goals weren't even his fault. Also those on here who expect immediate relegation because Clark is injured now and have to use him are not much better.

I understand and accept the concern but footballers make mistakes in all leagues, McCann noted that and replaced him with Lawlor when the time was right. Being out of the side and away from the negativity of some will have done TLT some good.

Always amazes me when a players performance(s) get criticised on a forum, then they have a good game a comments like “where are all those saying he’s shit now eh? Ehh?”.

Imagine if it was the other way around, a player performing brilliantly has a bad game and people start with “good now is he eh? Ehhhh?”.

It’s just so odd  you have to wonder what they think a football forum is.

Its not about a football forum, its just crazy that anyone would think he is rubbish and say get rid and buy another goal keeper.

Im not disputing the forum peice, why do you think I come on here.

Im just disputing the crazyness of the so far up and so down thoughts and views of people, thats all.

The be all and end all is that none of these players are world beaters and none are rubbish.
