What a goal from Molls! Well taken from their keeper but the vision and skill of that turn, and sharpness of threading the ball into the net was class. One of his best.

100% a penalty. He was lucky not to get sent off.

Hanlons goal has to be a yard offside.

With regards to the pen I can only think Thimothee's position may have saved McGrath.

Double jeopardy rule means you can't get sent off if there was a genuine attempt to play the ball. And i think there was, he just made a hash of it and got into a flap.

Excellent stuff from Moly. Yeah the keeper cocked up big time but only because Moly had the foresight and workrate to get in position and put pressure on him. And he still had to put it away on his weaker foot with 2 defenders tracking back.

The fact it was against that mob down the road is the cherry on top really.

I was shocked that the flag didnt go up for hanlans goal.
Even more shocked that the rotherham players didnt make much of a protest either

They are a beaten team, heads went down as soon as we equalised

Strange thing is, I sit in the West Stand bang in line with penalty spot and I didn’t notice how offside he was, neither did anyone around me. Whereas usually anything close and the roar goes up. I’m shocked at how far he’s off!

It looked offside at the time and that really highlights how far offside he was ,but the one we did get disallowed looked inside

McGrath definitely very lucky not to be sent off and it does look close when you pause it for Hanlons goal with the guy who is challenging Middleton cross, likewise with byrne’s goal which was didallowed

I keep watching it and Hanlan seems level with Middleton to me when the ball is crossed.

The officials today were shocking, for both sides.

I think the only big decision they got right was the penalty.

After the missed forearm smash to McGrath s face that should have been a straight red it just went from bad to worse.

Real battle today that would not have been out of place in a none league match, not a great deal of quality outside of our "two goals" that we stayed in the battle and got over that dire first half is credit to the players and GM getting a tune out of his subs,

I don't think i've ever seen us play a weaker and inept Rotherham side.

Just good to see us battle and overcome going one down in a match of this type.

Who was at fault for the goal celebration head butt?  Looked like Senior was apologising to Clifton.  The blood was already flowing for both.  Good way to slow the game down after a goal!

Hanlan's was the worst offside miss of the season. Absolute shocker.

Ridiculous how the bigger clubs always get the decisions going their way...

However, the disallowed goal was clearly onside so it evened itself out.

Anyone got a clip of the Byrne goal, only saw it live and looked like he was on? Doesn’t seem to be in the highlights.

“Around the ground” vlog on YouTube gets a good view of it and he looks well on side

Look at it carefully, there was a slight deflection off a Rotherham defender before going across to Hanlan

that doesn’t make a difference whether he touches it or not as to reason whether he was on or off

Strikers goal by Hanlan. He should be starting if Frankie isn’t fit all day long.

McGarth rookie mistake normally made many divisions below. Keeps happening and will cost us points but McCann seems intent on playing him every minute. He needs to find form/consistency before the end of the season or we’ll be looking for a 3/4 new centre backs.

Looked like the defender closing down the crosser played him on on the replay. Well onside.

Yep, said it on the other thread plus, give Hanlan credit too for checking his run.

I think the Byrne one was slightly more off than on, as I thinks the ball was played slightly forward and Byrne hadn't retreated enough from the previous move.

Full marks to the assistant

That pic shows the defender on the wing is playing Hanlan onside.  It’s also debatable whether or not Hanlan is actually ahead of the ball.  If he’s behind the ball when it is played, he can’t be offside regardless of the defenders’ positions.
