It is plain why Trump cannot exclude the team because he says his quarrel is not with the Iranian people.

However given the instability and tendency to violence of sections of the American people, the risk would be massive.

On the face of it, Trump is being sensible, but he knows that if they came and the team suffered violence, it would be no one’s fault, but his own. Even if they have to stay at home as they will almost certainly be ordered to, Trump ought to feel uncomfortable about it - but of course that is not in his nature!

If FIFA was not already an organisation in disrepute associating the name of Trump with it and holding the World Cup in North  America was just another OG by an organisation which seems as corrupt as banana republic.

I too would like to know your rationale for boycotting BST.

I also personally boycotted the last one.

Before that I watched all England and as many other matches as I could at previous ones.

Just my choice and not judging anyone else.

The anti Iranian regime ones. The Iranian footballers who might not want to sing as the brave females didn't recently. Perhaps seeing as the Iranian football team are due to play in the Gay Bi and Lesbian Pride  City some of their players would want to fully involve themselves in that, think that will go down well amongst the Islamo-Fascist leadership of that country?

They could always claim asylum in Arabia somewhere else?

Probably better off claiming asylum in Trump's US.

Boycott it because DT has said he would like Iran in the world cup but it might not be safe...yeah ok  id be more inclined to ban England from hosting anything given our fans storm the ground while ticketless a la the euros.

The middle East world cup wasn't good enough because we couldn't drink beer, USA not good enough cos them yanks don't understand what proper football is...give it a rest everyone. Basically the arrogant English should always host it because its us wot invented it and all them people wot look different or approach it different shouldn't be allowed near it??? Play the matches at the time of year we want, kicking off in our time zone, with booze and Charlie a plenty and owt else is rubbish

To answer the OP, nobody will seriously consider boycotting it as they're too scared of the financial and sporting ramifications. Similar arguments were more than justified in relation to the 2018 and 2022 hosts too, however everyone eventually got in line.
