Rochdale do have home advantage however.

I think York’s style of play is much better suited to this one game shoot out than Rochdale’s patient build up play. York will come out the traps all guns blazing I think for that early goal and if they get it it’s Rochdale’s choreographed approach in tatters. They’ll have to throw more at it and it’s the worst team for that to happen against. 112 goals ffs.

York to win 3 or 4-0.

If you think that York will win by 3-0 or 4-0 it would be worth having a £1 on each you would get  25/1 at least

Due to demand for tickets and lots of York season ticket holders not getting one, I’ve heard York City Council are putting up a big screen in the city to show the game.
Could be carnage afterwards.

Goodness me. What a rollercoaster.

In case you missed what went off, Rochdale scored in the 95th, York equalised in the 103rd to secure the title.

Get in there.

Incredible end, as you say Rochdale scored 90+5 with 1 minute left, took 7 minutes to clear the celebrating Rochdale fans of the pitch. York kicked off, scored, big question mark as to whether the ball crossed the line, hopefully see some photos at some point. Final whistle moments after the goal. Chaos in the York end!

Mental. That is a huge call from officials at end as well to give the York goal. Correct decision but f*ck me there’s definitely officials that would’ve shit themselves and bolloxed that up.

Doncaster born and former Rovers season ticket holder Callum Howe with his header off the line which started the madness. Great shots of him lifting the trophy. Hoping his younger brother (also a former Rovers season ticket holder) Dec can do the business with Scunny in the play offs.

Rochdale fans probably pissed on their own bonfire with being on the pitch for that long as well.

And a York player got in a ruck with a Rochdale fan and when he got free, he sparked the Rochdale fan out

Looked like the defender was well back in the goal and very little protests from Rochdale. Although I think the ref had a watch anyway from what I read. Haven't seen anything other than the goals though so that could be wrong on that fact.

Its a fascinating one for sure. I’ve watched it back a fair few times this evening and I think I’ve just about come to the conclusion that it did ‘just’ cross the line. Either way … absolutely theatre in that game!!!

The York player got pushed to the floor and had to get the fan off him and defend himself ,it was a cracking punch to be fair but well deserved, you play with feathers you get your arse tickled

Youtube headed it up as the greatest ever ending to a game but I remembered one just as dramatic from a dozen or so years back.
I was wondering how many York fans decided to leave the ground after the Rochdale goal as well.

People really overestimate themselves against professional athletes don’t they?
