Not the greatest weekend results but

Bobby Faulkner and Will Flint didn't have the greatest weekends as far as results for their loan teams go, but as individuals had two very good games giving their all to try and get a result for their team mates and the clubs that have been a big step in their development.
Both had had the news that their future was next season at Doncaster but played in games for their loan clubs that the future of their team mates depended on, easy to dismiss but when like myself in the hospitality area at Harrogate with the young families, wives with young babes in arms and mothers and fathers it was palpable
just what was at stake.
Well as it happened they failed, Buxton unluckily knocked out of the semi final stage for the second year for promotion to the National league, and Harrogate losing their EFL status and relegated to the National League but not for the want of trying by our two lads.
Both had great games, the statement from a friend who attended Wills game, an ex league professional and agent himself was "brilliant Brian" when I asked how Will had played, and went on to say what a good player he looked composed and talented defender, never put a foot wrong, high praise indeed against a good side South Shields.
At Harrogate Bobby again had a great game and as always gave everything in a continual battle against a good Barnet team especially strong up front against Tshimanga and Stead an individual battle he won and was a feature of the game with Barnet's continual ariel bombardment he dominated with some text book tackles and defending. the respect the Barnet forwards showed to him at the end of the game when they made a bee line to him visibly like all the Harrogate team upset.
So its off away for the closed season for both, a set of new friends they have shared in Harrogate's case not a great time that could have been so much better with just a bit of luck rarely getting beaten by many and quite a few last few minutes defeats that's the small margins with Buxton missing that killer finisher everyone looks for.
What has come out of it is both did well consistently, both have seen the other side of the game, both are confident in their own ability and both are attracting attention elsewhere, They will do well next season given the chance, and if they start the season like they have ended this season will be a great addition to our team.

Thanks for that comprehensive update selby.
Good to know that our players did well and that they are more likely now to be able to progress with DRFC.
It would be great for them both to break into our match day squads next season.
