League of Ireland

Went to Dublin at the weekend and on Friday went to the Shelbourne vs Shamrock Rovers match.

I have to say it did help with the missing of going to see Donny during this time.

The quality is about League 1 standard, which made me laugh when there then talking about there being in the UEFA Conference league play offs, few Shelbourne players (Harry Wood, Milan Mbeng, Wessel Speel and Evan Caffrey) impressed me. Shamrock played well also, their wingers were impressive, one was only 19 and he scored a lovely goal to equalise. Was also fun seeing ex Rovers loanee Mipo Odubeko do very little to then get the ball take on the defender, score the winner and do the Bellingham arms out celebration.

Great atmosphere and really enjoyed it. Also makes me think the St Pats game will be a competitive contest.
