Hi Carl. Excuse my brevity, i'm without laptop at the minute.

I think i'll be up for joining you. The dates look ok to me. let me know when you wanna get squash booked & we'll start there.

How about a penny per mile? 23.5p? I'll even round it up to 25 if you like.

And yeah, if you wanna come along Mike, the more the merrier.

Much love.

I'll register at the end of the month.

Wearing the hoops in June is a sterling idea.

Perhaps we can get summat in the match programme to raise more sponsorship? I'll drop the Footy Heaven lads a line too.

A truly worthy cause, and one which is close to my heart having been helped by Macmillan when I had cancer 13 years ago, and also again last year due to the 10 months of time off work due to related complications.

Best of luck lads!

Carlos,

As I mentioned furthe rup the thread I'll register at the end of this week once I've been paid. I've even booked a pass out from the missus.

I'm not doing it for anyone in particular (although my Grandad had a brush with cancer around Christmas and was lucky enough to be oprated on straight away) but I'm happy to support such a good cause.

I'm really looking forward to the day.

I've registered. Really looking forward to it.  No particular reason for me wanting to do it other than helping out a really worthwhile charity

Yeah, unless you wanna drive all the way up there to be ready for 7am? I'd rather camp out the night before.

Camping? I'll quite happily walk 23.5 miles climbing 2135 feet but sleep under a bit of plastic in a field full of horse shit? You must be kidding.  Is there a Hilton or Malmaison nearby?

There's bound to be a nice country pub/B&B in the vicinity. If they serve local fodder and Theakston's that's even better!

I'll just bump this a bit further up the top.....

Don't forget TEAM DRFC will be scaling three, what can only be described as mountains, on a 23.5 mile hike up hill and down Yorkshire dale in support of MacMillan Cancer Support.

Macmillan helps people by giving out financial grants which average at £371 per person. £188 will fund a MacMillan nurse for 4 hours. £168 will run Cancer Support Direct for an hour, which on average will help 11 people answer their questions about cancer and provide the emotional support they need.

Why not donate the cost of a pint this weekend to a great cause?

http://original.justgiving.com/phillellis
http://original.justgiving.com/tracycrowe1?from=UKSponsorExit
http://original.justgiving.com/garylong
http://www.justgiving.com/mike-follows

There are not earlybird perks or latebird penalties so please donate if you can, what you can, when you can.

Every little helps.

Thanks
