whenever anybody capitalises the word \"fact\" i instantly assume BS (and thats not billy sharp)...lower case makes it slightly more believable. however, using it more than once in a post negates the effect.

I getting into the argument that happens on here when people post facts/rumours

This came from Billy's dad, who attends every game, so not quite the horses mouth but near enough

Please picture this everyone:

Imagine we somehow get into the play-offs and are set to face Sheff UTD over two legs, we try to get Sharp on loan for the play-offs and Blackwell says no, the first leg at the keepmoat ends 1-1 maybe 0-0, the week later at Bramall Lane, for some reason the shooting ends are swapped with Sheffield United shooting towards the Rovers fans in the second half, we go into the 75th minute goalless, a substitution for Sheffield United, the tannoy speaks \"Player coming off number 7 Darius Henderson to be replaced by number 24... BILLY SHARP\" In the last minute we manage to look up and see Sharp roll it past Sullivan and run by the Rovers fans with a smile on his face, and blades on his heart. How loud will the \"Billy, Billy Sharp\" song be from Rovers fans then?

Its a no brainer that if Sheff U don't at least make play off final, Blackwell is surely out, and the new Sheff u boss will not look at Sharp and think \"he loves Blades, he scored 13 goals last season, lets sell him to a strong Doncaster side\"

not that im saying for a minute that ur story will come true, BUT, do we know for definite that his loan doesnt include the playoffs? does it only run up to the last league game, or does a \"season long loan\" run through the playoffs too?

Sharp loan deal finishes after the play-offs. He cannot be recalled by Sheffield United until the loan deal ends. If we are involved in the play-offs and happen to play Sheff Utd Sharp will play for us.

Blackwells doing a cracking job at Sheff Utd.

Should give him a new five year contract in my opinion.  ;)

It amazes me how the gaffer and Hendo come under so much stick. Sure they play hoof ball, but given the financial situation and the fact Henderson is scoring some. It makes you glad you aint a blunt fan... so fickle!

Blackwell gets stick because he hasn't a clue. When we keep the ball down - we can play well, use two wingers we play well. Henderson has scored, but the football largely is dire, atmosphere dire and anyone who has listened to Praise or Grumble will realise part of the reason why Blackwell's stock lies so low with us at BDTBL. Its not being fickle - all we want is to be entertained a little - er, like you get at Donny? Christ I never thought I'd print that.

Up the Blades and the Rovers!

I see where you are coming from, but dont most SUFC fans want promotion as its the be all and end all. Its one thing playing nice attractive stuff, its another getting results. Which Rovers are starting to do both now more often but its taken time.

Blackwell is getting results and Hendo is scoring, attractive it may not be but its a results business and thats whay the chairman will be thinking, no?

Personally I want Sheff Utd to do well with Blackwell if it means Sharp stays, but time will tell.

negative, Juicee (with an accent above one of the e's, cba to do it on the keyboard), any less than a mugful with a teaspoon of water and it tastes, and looks, like cat piss.

I'll tell you why that statement is spot on.  McCabe, the Blades Chairman, is looking to get out of the club, and a club in the Prem is a far more attractive proposition to potential purcasers than one in the CCC, not to mention a far more lucrative one for him.  Also, why would he sack one manager and bring in another only for a new owner to want to bring their own man in?  No, Blackwell stays (for now).

As long as SUFC are there or thereabouts, he will not pull the plug on Blackwell, but this could be last chance saloon and if promotion doesnt happen this year and no potential purchaser is waiting in the wings ...... adios and thanks for nothing Mr B!

Will he though, that depends if SOD plays him. He didn't play in October and I believe SOD will not play him against the Blades next month.

Well when Alan sheehan(if thats how you spell it) was on loan at Leeds his deal was till the end of the season, as was Mills with us, and mills got told he could stay, Sheehan was rejected to stay with Leeds by Watford after they wished to use him in there play off matches, so in theory a player on loan has to have his loan extended for the play offs unless already agreed in the contract that they sign on loan..
