Match preview: Barrow v York City
11:00am Friday 19th February 2010
By Dave Flett »
BARROW face a striker shortage ahead of tomorrow afternoon’s FA Trophy quarter-final home tie against York City.
Top scorer Jason Walker, who has netted 14 times this season, is expected to plough a lonely furrow up front or have an unfamiliar partner in attack with Nick Chadwick and Gregg Blundell both ruled out.
Transfer window signing Chadwick is ineligible having played earlier in the competition for Chester.
Former Doncaster Rovers forward Blundell, meanwhile, suffered a head injury that saw him admitted to hospital after crashing into a concrete perimeter wall during Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Kettering.
