badly missed tonight, i've said it before and i won't change my mind Wilson is the weak link in our midfield. he can't pass a ball, to many miss places again and when he gets the ball he slows the play too much because he dosn't know what to do.

ok i'm ready for the backlash

he is deffenetly a player that can be fecthed on for last 10 when were 2-0 up .. to slow the pace down and hold the ball a little more.. but not a player to be trying to get us from 1-0 down

Got to agree with that to be honest.

Wilson, and Oster for that matter, seemed totally disinterested tonight, and were carried by the rest of the team who were atleast prepared to put the effort in.

To be honest, I rarely noticed Wilson at all he was that insignificant - how Mr Wellens must have licked his lips at the proposition of lining up against him. As for Oster, bottled every single tackle he could have attempted, and with the amount of passes he directed to a Leicester player, I think Leicester should pay his wages this week.

No backlash here, Wilson might as well have stayed at home tonight. Total rubbish.

Everyone knows that we are a completely differant team without Stock and really do miss him in it and has surprised me how many points we have won when he has been out injured this season

I thought Spicer did ok when he came on, looked at least a little busy, time to get him more involved like the second half of last season maybe?

I think we got away with Stock's absence earlier because we had Woods and then Gillet to play the same role. Without any of the above, our weakness in that area in front of the back four is being exposed again.

I agree my dad keeps saying how we miss woods but on yesterdays showing it was defiantly Stock. Big player for us can get the flow of the game going, we really missed him. Hope he stays in the summer, gets fully fit and gets back to his old ways.

In the first half I don't think Wilson completed one pass to a Rovers player. I lost count of the number of pointless straight long balls he played in to their box.

No- BigDonnyBoy has voted nine times.  ;)

I am not one of those who gets on about Wilson, but I thought he was poor last night. At least he was not alone.

Anyone know how long Stock is out for- or is it just a case of rest and then return on Saturday? If he's out for a while, I think a bit of a tactical rethink is called for. Playing Wilson plus four broadly similar midfielders is not the answer. Either that, or see if we can get Gillett back for another month.

I`ve said it before, I think Hird could do the holding role in front of the back four

on the basis of last night elliot ward would be a better candidate than hird   taller better passer and can tackle

We need Wards height in the defence, thats why i mentioned Hird, he is a good reader of the game and that role allows him more chances to intercept passes knowing that we are not exposed if he misses one

wasnt there some suggestion that martis may be fit for saturday?

in which case ward could play either role (if stock is unfit)

Know this may sound a bit stupid but why was Stock not playing yesterday? Has he taken a bit of a knock or something?

I reckon SOD left him out last night to save him from a good kicking, lets face it they would have been queing up to do him after what happened to Fryatt at their place, i bet he's back for Palace on saturday, everything crossed  ;)

OK so now I will wait for the knockers, BUT!!!! anyone else think that after the Fryatt affair Stocky's back injury came at a very convienient time.

Or am I just a cynic

Sorry rovers am didn't see your post before I replied. But I do agree with you. Better to miss one game last night then several over the next few weeks. Bet you he's fit for Saturday anyway.

Regards

Ray

Good point, not that the Leicester fans think it was Stock. Judging by them booing Roberts all through the game I reckon they still think it was him, they booed him at their place too after Fryatt went off.
