Assuming he is out lets..... hope to god we play the following in midfield ;-
ostler mutch woods copps
Lets stop playing f**king Wilson and Guy (off the bench) as we are no where near safe so lets ensure we get the four wins we need to stop up!

Its not about \"Mutch vs Wilson\" though. If SOD has taught us anything its about synergies in the middle and having the right balance. Given how awesome Oster was at Hillsborough, SOD needs to pick the combination that frees Oster to pull the strings. Mutch is more creative than Wilson for sure, but its not necessarily about that if it drags Oster back as deep as it did on Tuesday.

Why are you always on here slagging Wilson off. Your a sad tw at that probably boos when Guy comes on as well.

Let SOD pick the team for chuff sake and go back and play your Championship Manager game.

Stop being so bloody negative will you.

Stock out is / will be a blow.
Wilson does a job for SOD and the team.
In SOD we must trust.

Sometimes, yes. Other times like Tuesday night he contributes nothing.

Hopefully Woods is back soon because before he got injured he was one of our better players this season and a bonus he stayed in January.

Similarly true of many posters on here - and - all the rest of the team at any particular moment!

I think I am right in my stats in that Wilson has played in more winning games this season than any other central midfield player? He was definately playing when we had our best run before Christmas. Does this make him the 'best' player in the team, or the most creative, of course not. It means he plays his part when asked. Wilson adds defensive strength and gives room for the more creative players to play, if they are not doing that it is hardly his fault.

If we had our best team out, Wilson wouldn't be in it, if we had a better squad Wilson wouldn't be in it, if we had pots of money we would be Real Madrid.....but as we don't, that's life, get over it.

Agreed, good post. Next time we have the traditional Lewis Guy debate just place that name in the above post instead of Mark Wilsons and re-post please.

Fantastic post Wilts, as much as I don't think Wilson is the best player in the world, he does a job for us and you can't ask anything more than that. He will never set a game alight but he always puts in 100% does not deserve half of the stick that he gets on this forum!

Apparently makes a lovely cup of tea as well.

Seriously, he'll maybe be a decent manager one day, he's played for a few good ones.

I like the look of Mutch, and I like the romour of JET coming.

Exciting that we have 2 young telentaed players in midfield but, we need an older experienced head to anchor the midfield to let these two do their stuff.

If Stock is out, then the next best player we have is Mark Wilson. Like it or not, it's horses for courses and we can't have every player being a fancy dan, you need a steady eddie in there somewhere.

Could be an interesting run in !

just consider the good news.

who in their right mind would think of buying a crock like  brian stock in the summer.

looks like we are stuck with him for next season

I reckon Elliott Ward could well be a cracking midfield player - obviously he has the tackling and heading ability, but his distribution looks good. We've seen his technical ability (at hillsboro) and he's definitely a natural striker of the ball, hence his penalty taking record.

Obviously we'd need 2 from Shackell, Martis, O'Connor to be fit.

Having him midfield would provide the defensive element needed to give oster the freedom to roam forward more, and stick Wilson on the bench.

I hope the loan can be extended
