Big games every week
« on March 02, 2010, 10:15:13 pm by Branton Rover »
I'm 38 years old & well remember Rovers having big big games against the likes of York, Mansfield, Scarborough, Lincoln, Darlo, Grimsby Town etc etc the list could go on.  Now our team is pitting itself against both Sheffield clubs, Leicester City, Nottingham Forest, QPR, Derby County & Newcastle also we'll be locking horns again next season with Leeds United (assuming they make it).  My point is if we want to see clubs of this quality week in week out we've got to pay for the privilege.  You don't get 'owt for nowt.  Look at the quality of our squad names like; Stock, Woods, Coppinger, O'Connor, Chambers, Martis, Roberts, the list goes on, also  with exceptional loan additions Billy Sharp, Jason Shackell, Elliott Ward & Arsenal youngster Jay Emmanuel Thomas.  We've never had a squad like this & unfortunately these players don't get by on fresh air alone & someone has to pay, the board & when I say board I'm talking about our 3 Amigos Mess rs Ryan, Watson & Bramall have devised a plan for sustainability at this level & for God sake let's all rally behind these stars, players & board members alike
