In my opinion...

SULLIVAN: 8 - Sulli didn't put a foot wrong all game and made a few good saves in the 2nd half when PNE were hitting us on the break.

CHAMBERS: 8 - Defended well, decent going forward, and won the penalty. Another good display from JC.

WARD: 9 - Thought he played very well, won everything in the air against Jon Parkin and was very composed on the ball.

JOC: 7 - Had a decent game. Nothing outstanding. Steady performance.

ROBERTS: 8 - Robbo was another who had a good game, worked tirelessly up and down the flank and was immaculate defensively.

OSTER: 5 - Thought he had a poor game by his high standards. Gave the ball away far too much and chose the wrong option on too many occasions.

WILSON: 6 - Average. Always made himself available for the ball, but unfortunately too many passes went astray.

COPPINGER: 7 - Had a decent game. Provided us with some creativity, and gave us some movement going forward. Drifted in and out too much for me though, hence 7.

EMMANUEL-THOMAS: 7.5 - Very confident, quick and strong on the ball. Drifted in and out a bit but caused Preston problems every time he got the ball.

HAYTER: 8 - Superb finish for the goal. Worked tirelessly all match and put up with the usual battering from his marker. Vintage Hayter performance.

SHARP: 7.5 - Ran his socks off. Held the ball up well, and generally did a good job at leading the line. Shame about the penalty, but you can't have a go at him after the number of points he has earned us this season.

Emmanuel Thomas never went above jogging pace the whole game, doesn't look interested at all when
hes not got the ball.

Oconnor was lucky Parkin didn't score when he turned him with ease inside the 6 yard box.

As a team they looked a lot more confident going forward since leicster away

i think VJ's summation of the players is a good one, so i'd just like to make a comment about JET.

The way I see him is like this, and forgive me for being harsh...

When we have the ball, he always finds space, he shouts for it, he wants to be involved.

When HE has the ball he's brilliant, he makes the difficult look easy, some times I wonder how he gets the power he does into his shots with what seems like very little effort, and apart from the odd mistake, usually the ball looks glued to his feet.

HOWEVER, when we DON'T have the ball, we might as well have 10 men, because he hardly ever tracks back, he doesnt close anybody down anywhere near quick enough, if at all, and generally looks like he cant be arsed.

One extreme to the other.

That's why a player like JET is with us - to develop those elements of his game where he isn't as strong.

If he had those elements developed already he would be sat on the bench at the Emirates instead of developing himself at Rovers and giving us something different.
