We may well see this keeper, currently without a club, in goal on Saturday

What happened to Roy Carroll? He was always a decent keeper, still only 33, and doesn't seem to be on anyone's books at the moment.

It doesn't matter who is in goal - they'll have the game of their life. That's what always happens against the Rovers.... crap ref, hero opposition keeper.

Stick a dustbin in and it'll be in the Championship Team of the Week!!!

Yeah Carroll signed for Odense BK I believe. Clough is gonna get a 7-day emergency loan, I'm sure he'll manage to find someone who will then play brilliantly

As one of the Bristol-based (at least for work) members of this forum, Basso is an interesting one. Good keeper - prone to the odd howler - liked by the fans - fell out with Gary Johnson...nuff said.

Bristol fans sitting next to us in KFC near ground on Saturday were saying they were glad to see the back of Basso ... delighted with Gherkin ... oh bright new future. Not sure what they would have been saying at 5 o'clock.

PS. got asked by a couple of others on the way into the ground what had happened to Mr Brooker. Replied, good question! That's something we keep asking ourselves. Funny that, they replied. It's a question they kept asking themselves when he was with them.   ;)

If anyone remembers the court case where Brooker sued the Bristol physio for not treating his injury problem correctly - that would have answered both of those questions!

As for Basso I belive there was also a difference of opinion over his wages re a contract extension, Basso wanted x amount - Johnson said you are not worth that much & either take what we offer or play for the reserves... not a very large queue for his services is there.....

Whoever they get in, its essential we use it to our advantage and hit the ground running from kick off.

Maybe some shooting on sight in the first 15 - 20 minutes against a rusty keeper unfamiliar with his back four could see us home and dry by half time?

Thanks for the hillarious post Loan Arranger, Dustbins are very cheap to employ, the idea might catch on.
Derby have loaned a keeper from Liverpool, a chap called Marvin. Must be someone else who has fallen out with Rafa

... hoping a guy has a stinker is a bit harsh ... he may after all be a young lad learning his trade

PERSONALLY I hope he has a great game , gives the performance of his life in a game he will hopefully remember forever BUT can do nothing to prevent any of Rovers 3 goals (JET 2 Billy 1)

He's quite well rated there I think. Think he has a footballing father too but can't remember - maybe Alvin Martin?

Featured a bit for Leicester when they got promoted from L1.
