38 miles between norwich and ipswich. Would a few not travel to ipswich for the championahip football?
That's the point though, once someone has picked a team they generally tend to stick with them. It's pretty difficult for a football fan to change allegiance once they have started. So those fans who chose Leeds way back when are not going to ditch them for Donny, same as Norwich fans won't suddenly go and support Ipswich (who just so happen to be their biggest rivals).
Responding to DaveDRFC valid point but what about all the doncaster people who would travel to wtach leeds every week when they were at ahigher level?Difference the leeds fans from donny have stayed with leeds instead of watching a higher level of football
I wouldn't drive the best part of 80 miles for a home game 23 times a season (I know there are many who do, but that's just my opinion). Besides, the majority of their STH's will already be Norwich fans, they aren't going to go support Ipswich are they? What you have just said is akin to you or I going to watch Hull for a season just because they are in the Premier League. It wouldn't happen would it?

Plus one of the lads I know travels all the way from Rugby for every home game. 80 miles a'int that great a distance in my opinion.RegardsRay

I do enjoy my away games though and have clocked up some miles the last couple of years, I just wouldn't fancy that kind of mileage every single home game! As I say, that's just me and I appreciate there are many exiles who do this and I applaud them for it. Just saying, I don't fancy it myself! I'm the same with work, I couldn't face a commute but thousands of people do it, sometimes the 10 minute drive home after a 12 hour shift is too much for me. Don't know how some people do it!
