Does anyone know if its available at the club shop yet? if it is i might get a copy this afternoon when i go renew my season tickets.
I know there is a launch with JR upcoming but i just wondered if it's on sale before then.

Just ordered mine from Amazon, (as I pretty much do with any books etc).

Cheers.

Its not bad.  I think it was originally expected to be a follow up to the stats book published in the late 90's but evolved into something more narrative.  Tony Bluff's writing about Rovers is always good.  Just disappointed that the VSC didn't get a mention in it, given the period it covered and the fairly instrumental riole played by the VSC over a couple of years.

I got my copy of the book from the club shop in town. I had pre-ordered it. I was told I could take it into the Stadium Club Shop after the Plymouth game and John would be there to sign books.

There is a special launch of 'Dare to Believe' for Alliance members at the KMS tonight, 7pm. John Helm (from YTV) is to be guest speaker at the event.

What a blody brilliant read it is, got it yesterday and almost finished it. As you you would expect from our leader it's all heart on his sleeve and very honest with his opinion. Reading some of the comments in there from people outside the club at the start of each chapter along with the forewards from KK & Gartom made me well up with pride.

Some great insight into how well the club is run by the \"three musketeers\" in terms of the clubs finances etc that will make people realise what a good job they actually are doing. I love the Championship Diary section with a little story about each game and also where he tells some of the stories in regards to transfers and bids (like the brum bids for mills) but what tickled me especially were JR's nicknames for SoD.......... \"Professor O'Driscoll\" & \"Grumpy\" haha :D

I hope JR won't mind me quoting something that really brought a smile to my face, it's at the players end of season bash last year....
\"I'm in full flow with my speech - and that's before sampling most of the champagne. But in all sobriety i mean every word, despite the strange look on Mr O'Driscoll's face. I tell everyone that we can be up there challenging for promotion next term. Why not? The meek shall inherit the earth, as they say, and now is the time for 'little' Donny to make it big. I can sense it.\"

Overall a fantastic read about JR's life and his involvement with the club from the 80's to the present day and a must read for every rovers fan.

Most entertaining read if had in ages.

I like this little extract

I have in my office the blueprint of a Premiership future for Donny Rovers in form of plans of how I see the Keepmoat Stadium developing. Two sections have been added in a style more akin to Hull City`s KC Stadium and our capacity increased to 25000.I can promise you now that this will become reality should we achieve promotion to the top flight.
