It's great that a sponsor has already been sown up for the next three years.

I think it was to much to ask for a brewery type sponsor as we are only a pub team.

Just wonder how much they are putting into the club?

One Call Insurance are partners of the Club already and have been associated with Doncaster Rovers kit before, previously sponsoring the Club's shorts in 2008 when the Club won promotion to The Championship.

Trying to wipe out our Conference history?

I'm surprised to be honest, I thought we would have been able to attract a bigger name given our current status.

The commercial department are actually VERY good when it comes to businesses, what we need is the media department taking a leaf out of their book when it comes to the average Joe in the street.

slightly disappointed with the sponsor myself was hoping for maybe a bigger name on the shirt but they must have something to offer the club or they wouldn't have been chosen nice to see a three year contract though, lets hope theres some good cash involved aswell to help in what is looking like will be a tough summer

Rather have a smaller name offering us more than a big name offering very little.

Contract summary

Length of contract: 3 years
Annualised value: US$1 million
Overall value: US$3 million

Doncaster Rovers have announced that One Call Insurance will become the Championship side's new shirt sponsor for the upcoming 2010-2011 season.

Details of the agreement will see the Sheffield based insurer's branding appear on both the club's home and away kit for the next three years, as well as training and replica kits, and is worth an estimated US$3 million.

John Ryan, Doncaster Rovers chairman said, \"As a club we are committed to giving back to the local community and it was important to all of us that our new club sponsor was a local organisation who shared that commitment to the club and to Doncaster as a whole, and in One Call Insurance we have found that partner.\"

The relationship between the two parties stretches back to the 2008 season when One Call Insurance became the club's short sponsor during their eventual promotion to The Championship, England's second-tier soccer league.

Echoing the club's community spirit, John Radford, managing director of One Call Insurance said, \"We are delighted to be sponsoring our local team, Doncaster Rovers. Doncaster Rovers place a huge emphasis on building community links and keeping local roots and are one of Doncaster's largest employers. We hope the recognition we receive from being associated with a successful Championship Club like Doncaster Rovers will enable us to develop further on a national level.\"

Doncaster currently lie 10th in the Coca-Cola Football League Championship.

Why would a local company deal in $`s rather than £`s?

ah yes but with the exchange rates being what they are ,the good old quid is bound to weaken against the mighty usa dollar before next season, anyway it still adds up to chunk of the rent then ,less for sir john n the keepmoat two to fork out

Who knows whether this website is reliable or not, but according to the link above Forest receive exactly the same for their deal with Victor Chandler.

Sounds like someone at the club deserves a big pat on the back.  :)

they wouldnt, i think its only in dollars purely because that is an american website, so they have currency-converted it for the majority of their readers. (why the hell they care about our sponsorship anyway i have no idea)

it wont matter, the sponsorship amount will have been agreed in £, not $...see my above comments about the website being american, lol
